@cengeb What do you know about music, musicianship, and art, obviously nothing. you certainly do not seem to know that she has a 3 1/2 octave range, performed with many of the most respected musicians in the industry and performed at the most acclaimed opera houses, but I bet you're a person who insists that their opinion is a fact since you attacked her musicianship so i'm probably just wasting my time.

@MekTS Well, however "technically adept" she may be, this sounds like horrible noise. Einsturzende Neubauten even sounds better and they used chain saws. If her aim is to inflict psychological terror through "art" though, she has succeeded..

@novocain68 A good view indeed, I always likened her sounding very much like some demon,(it's certainly something I would expect to hear in hell) shes one of the best vocalist but the voice is the complete opposite of sounding "like an angel" probably a big reason why she's usually only appreciated by people who have alot of love for vocalists.

I totally believe that she has a 3 1/2 octave range but that is irrelevant. The material she uses said range on is utterly ridiculous (and in the case of some of the spirituals, insulting). Mariah Carey has a 5 octave range does that make her 140% better the Diamanda Galas?

@Shaitan051 In a technical sense it would mean that Mariah Carey is better, I will have to look up the 5 octave thing, otherwise I think you're also missing the fact that the person I was responding to was trying to say that Diamanda is technically a bad singer which is untrue and disproven, anything else is subjective.

@MekTS and since when Mariah Carey's vocals have that range? as far as I know there were issues in her past that proven that it is all prerecorded vocals. and then let's not speak about material = totally dissimilar. but that is other department.
