I would love to see a "dumbed down" video on how to make a setup like this. You know, a video for people with no electrical experience. Having a power board like that would be great. Is it possible to hook up a few car batteries and have the pedal power charge the batteries and run everything off of that? Awesome video man!
A few years ago I built a similar rig to power a TV. It worked fine, but 12 volts at half an amp or 6 watts meant about 38 hours of pedalling to produce a KWH that cost a dime.
People don't buy bread machines because they can bake. I think they like the convenience of kneading and baking in the same container, with little or no mess and simple cleanup. I also think they prefer not to knead bread by hand. If you don't mind kneading by hand, why use a bread machine? Anyway, I agree you have a point, but I would rather ride to knead than knead and ride. Somehow seeing that busy little machine "do the work" is very satisfying, while I can be reading a magazine, or Email.
I initially started looking for a bread machine recipe. Now you have me completely sidetracked on solar energy!..... And also ways I could put my kids to work! :)...could use the workout myself!! I thankyou for posting a brilliant idea.

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to knead the bread by hand? Solar baking is where it's at though.
