  • God, I used to LOVE the music in this game! The best part is the music changes whenever you reach a certain point in the track.

  • I enjoyed the simulation mode...

  • i remember playing the Knock Out race mode for this game....i'd always pray that Mc Laren wasn't the last car to race at monolithic studios.

  • This and Outback are my favorite tracks in the game. The atmosphere, Hell Bent for Lederhosen playing in the background, and passing through the countryside made for a perfect driving experience. Would be great if EA somehow remade this track in a future game.

  • @MindlessMiles I liked this track for its 'German-ness'. "Willkommen in Kinder Welt", haha. But seriously, We'd never put 60 km/h signs in the middle of a village.

I agree, remakes of all the old tracks for an 'HD-NFS' would be pretty damn awesome. I'd even pay for them as DLC - how does that sound EA?

Something tells me it won't happen though...

  • @Psychoaktiv91 If EA decides to go back to global tracks, then it might be possible. Thing I liked about NFS 2 is that it felt like you were traveling the world. Each track with it's own unique vibe, is that concept too old school for new games or what? This is why I don't care for free-roam because it locks you in the same place, and it does get dull after awhile.

  • @MindlessMiles I don't have anything against free-roam in general. But for racing games, I'd sign your statement. I think it's not about oldschool or not; it's just much easier for the developers to build one area with different tracks in it, instead of making up 10+ completely different. Laziness - a scheme that can be seen too often in today's gaming industry, if you ask me.
