This is definitely before the CD came out. I was right next to the uploader. It was the premier of the song in CT. It was still really early so they probably didn't have everything sorted out. Reading the liner notes, you'll see that Tomas is a last minute kinda guy.
can anybody figure out the words he says in the first verse in this video? i hear... i dont know skdfjasdkhsdfsk ayyyy... but somewhere in the between a dahskfs told me aksjfaskjfhkjfa ... if somebody figures out hte actual words please post it, its been bothering me haha
This was recorded way before their album came out. I remember sitting around the computer with my friends watching this because it was the only hint we had at the time for their new CD.
ugh, im like, crying now, kus i bought this albuym over itunes, and i want to transfer it over to my computer, but its not authorized under the same name so io cant : (
can't you burn it to a cd? my friend bought me one songs off itunes and burned it to a cd and it works on my computer. if not just download it from limewire or something
Yessss. THE LEAK IS SOOO GOOD. This is probably the best song on the album. I was really disappointed with Would You Be Impressed. I thought that was going to be the best song and it was just okay.
i dont think you can say you were disappointed with WYBI since you thought it was going to be the best, but rather you were just more impressed with the other amazing songs.
and its all opinion based, since they started playing these, ive always liked watch it crash more.
Yeah, Watch It Crash is good too. I actually just saw Streetlight last night in Jersey and bought the album for band support. And 'cause it came with a free poster signed by all the members. =] They were amazing.
sayresville? i was going to go to that show too to get the album and poster, but i just decided to go to the philly show tonight instead. =] its also my 18th birthday, what an amazing bday present.
You know, I wrote off Catch 22 ever since "Alone in the Crowd" came out, but I actually bought their new album, "Permanent Revolution", the other day and it's their best album since Kalnoky's departure from "Keasbey Nights"
Jeff was a good singer, but he left so meh, they left it to Mr. Gunther and Mrs. Eldred. Either way, Revolution is alright but not great, it's on the same level as Dinosaur Sounds is to me, musically. But creatively it's on a high level.
im so glad this album is coming out soon, I've been to so many of their shows lately and they still just play snipits, aka like the youtube videos up here (if you didn't know this isn't the whole song nor are any of the other new songs they have posted on here, all just parts)
holy shit great observation hotdog. i really wanted to figure out which song this would be on the new album and if this is somewhere in the between it sounds amazing. i cant fucking wait for the new album
based off the lists of song titles they posted on the site, i'd have to assume this is "somewhere in the between". considering you hear that phrase in the chorus
I think this song is called Somewhere in the Between so that would make it the title track from the album... Either way, sounds great can't wait - It's nice hearing streetlight do something different (Not that their old stuff was bad, variety just breeds talent)
I can confirm the recording being done...I saw Mike Brown going off stage at the show at the Hampton show, and I asked...said they were done recording. Not sure on a release date though.
The Album will be RELEASED soon...they have been done recording for a month... its being mixed right now and getting ready to be packaged and shipped....it will be out before they leave for Europe
It's actually an interesting sound compared to their other new songs. This actually sounds a little bit slower and less core ska, but I like it. Just hope they clean up the vocals on the lyrics.
Y'know, this is the first new Streetlight song I'm not amazed by. Seeing this played last night at this show was the first I ever heard it, which is unusual, because I sweat Streetlight's fucking collective balls.

The words at the beginin are different from the album. Funny, they probably hadn't recorded all of it by this point

i dont think this is the whole recording, it starts sometime in the middle, notice how the video is only like 2 minutes but the song is longer.
