This bike isnt a joke! Ask ANYONE... ask ANY REAL BIKE RIDER.... if this bike is a good starting bike, and they will say yes. This bike is superb. Anyone who starts on a 600 for their first bike is a fucking NEWB. No point having a 600 or a 1000 and not being able to get all of the power out of it, this bike is really fun, and you can throw it around, learn about cornering on a sports model, then after a year or 2, then you move up to the 600 and you can get every last drop of power out.

@Vapje - I own a Blade and a Ninjette - love em both. Anyone who looks down on a 250 probably thinks that owning a big bike will give him a better chance of getting laid. The 250 is a perfect city bike with road holding that rivals much bigger sports bikes, good brakes, good acceleration and decent top speed.. Ok it won't do 220 kph - how often can you reach those speeds during rush hour?

the exhaust comes as an end can only. you just have to take the stock can off and slip it on, althogh the mounting is quie hard and I make sure I do not have pillions to heavy on the bike as when ther eistoo much weight the bracket of the exhaust moves very closely to the brake caliper.this is the only concern about the exhaust, other than that it adds 0-60 acceleration and about 5mph top end.

- You'll get twice the mileage

- You'll leave any of your m8s standing with what they'll have at 17 or 18

- It means you have the option of a bigger bike sooner Rather than waiting till your 21

- Youll learn a lot more a lot quicker

its a trick, you need a bike without fuel injection (i think), electric start and with a kill switch, you ride the bike normally, then when you want to shoot flames out of the exhaust you hit the kill switch, fuel builds up in the exhaust and engine, after a second or two (depends on the revs and cc) hit the electric start and this ignites the excess fuel, increasing the pressure in your engine and exhaust shooting flames or hot gas out of the exhaust, but it can damage your bike, so dont do it

I dont think these guys understand the UK licensing... I got my 250r In December 2008 just after I turned 17. I have raced semi pro Motocross for 4 yrs and my 250r is just about right...especially as just come from a 50cc ped lol. I mean as stock, 0-60 in no more than 5 seconds and capable of 105 without too much difficulty, think of what cars you can get when your 17 that will do that (...very few...) and how much insurance would be.
