Sigh... it's no use debating with people like that. Aerith gets hate from some people because of stupid reasons (pairing preferences notably). Maybe others don't like her because she's the character who was the most upbeat (and some people just don't like the happy ones) or because she wasn't a fighter (I have to say... people consider her weak but she was VERY good every time I used her... and she WASN'T passive or submissive as a character *and she has a story of her own*).
