Is it just me, or do organs sound awful?

I kind of like the sound but I also Kind'a hate it!

Anyone else relate to this dichotomy?

Nope, they sound great if they are voiced well, and gd registrations are used!

@chinesefake .. they sound good live or cd quality .. theres a few videos on here that are excellent on the tower organ,and then again theres a lot of crap ones too. should ban mobile phone videos they dont do any theatre organ justice.. !!! a good HD video is what you need to get an half decent sound on here .. but to my ears . this sounds shite

@chinesefake The Opera House Wurlitzer is one of the best ever installed in the UK. It was said by the Wurlitzer company to be there best UK installation.

I try and visit Thursford as often as I can during the summer, Robert is always brilliant, and is an absolute gentleman too. Cheers for this Glenny, just wish I could have been there!

Hi - I hadn't seen Robert Wolfe for some 30 years - since he was a very young 16 year-old, playing his 1st season at the Tower.

What a splendid show the man gave - some great music and beautiful sounds from the Wurlitzer - these concerts at the Opera House are absolutely 1st class !
