  • OMG!! Awesome!!!

  • phew! WHAT A WOW!

  • Beast job!

  • ignorance.... DRUMLINE WAS A MOVIE ABOUT DRUMLINES LIKE THIS ONE....

  • its just like the movie!

    theres one white guy!

  • looking the band marching pumas of Guatemala city......

  • Is This How they do it in the south, terrible i am from cali, they would not last a minute in Cali

  • @dopebeats027 Sorry, Cali wouldn't last a second in the south either buddy .

  • @MrAD2406 HA, except USC is the shit...buddy...

  • @dopebeats027 these guys are from north carolina which is not the south. and only hbcu's and black high schools do this style.

  • "drumline" the movie ruined so many young kids who want to be in a drumline, (at least in my area and age when it first came out) they want to do moves like this. its dirty as fuck. My advice: stick to the cavaliers or The Blue Devils.

  • @animelover3400 drumline did not influence this line in any way... i can assure you.

  • @animelover3400 dude this style of drumming has been around much longer than themovie drumline. where do you think they got the idea. the movie was about HBCU drumlines not DCI drumlines which are by far not as entertaining to watch. all they do is stand there yealling dut and playing rudiments at 220bpm. and if a drummer chooses to do showstyle lt them. not every drummer has to do DCI style. and everyone in HBCU drumlines can chop just as well as someone in DCI.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 I'll agree that SOME can but most can't. If a corps had a run like this, they would probably schedule extra practice because it is nowhere near DCI standards.

  • The drumline on the movie is better vote like if you agree

  • @logonfreezer That was a movie. They do whatever they can to make everything as perfect as possible. I say it's just as good.

  • @ppencilnekgek dude i was talking about the style of marching they do. down south we call those bands that you metioned dci style beacause they do the same type of marching dci does

  • @ppencilnekgek by corps bands i mean DCI which stands for Drum Corps International thats why i called the schools you mentioned corps

  • @ppencilnekgek dude those drumlines you mentioned arenot even showstyle drumlines they are corps bands. so you cant even compare them to ncat. thats like trying to compare apples and orange

  • these guys are awsome

  • @dapop34 lolwut. Nothing in this was clean??

  • @welorg agreed...

  • Drumline had nothing to do with A&T. It was all based on SWD. Dont get me wrong, A&T is the shit. But tell me anything that looks like A&T in that movie besides the uniform?

  • lolz yea

    i think theyre super clean

    compared to the movie

    i think devon miles wuz

the one who made theline sound dirty

  • These are some bad boys right here!

  • awesome. makes me wanna go buy a snare drum

  • man the styles are way different!! to me its stupid to compare the two. niggas want to be on cold steel because what they do is really entertaining to them, and dats cool. some people find that stand still straight edge, division one school stuff fun and entertaining. I dont, I like the fonky stuff, I dont watch UNC football for the band, that stuff makes me want to clip my toe nails. so I dont think you should tell someone that likes this to go to Illinois or Mich St.

  • @EagleDrumma you're an ignorant jackass.

  • @benjewboynett I bet

  • okay them thanks for the advice!!!

  • im 11 im a p1 in percussion in my school band and it is my dream to be a snare in this marching band i can hit every note there is on the snare.... im goin to this school

  • No they Fucking don't, no disrespect to you or NC A&T but Blue Devils are the fucking best Marching Band?Drum Core EVER!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow you really believed that? I guess you would have believed me if I said these guys are better than SCV, Blue Coats, Cavs, and PR too. Sorry to hurt your feelings about BD.

  • actually i march with the blue devils, and most of these niggas have the skill and kno how to march with us. but they prefer to be live and entertaining i dont blame them this this is hot, but wouldnt win best in show against a more technical line such as us

  • i totally agree

  • wow, you truly are retarded.

  • are you fucking kidding me right now? you've got to be joking.

  • I dont understand, I appreciate all forms, each band works hard at whatever form they perform. No one better than the other, each one entertaining in their own way.. Lets keep in perspective what is really important in life, this is a part of life, not life as a whole...

  • I am a drum corps vet and a drumline instructer and although I don't teach this style of drumline drumming I can most certainly appreciate it when it's done at this level.

  • GARBAGE

  • i get snares, multi-tenors and basses but honestly whats the point of those single tenor drums????

  • looks..

  • @woodyman90 excatly

  • @woodyman90 the sound and it helps with alot of showstyled drumline cadences. snare, bass, multitom and cymbals may work for a corps line but showbands use the single toms to keep the cadences groovy when the snares or any other part of the drumline isnot playing

  • @woodyman90 a clean warm sound between the snares and the basses basically juss sumthin extra

  • @woodyman90 they are only used in bands like this. this band would be called a pipe band. look it up

  • @woodyman90 just about all black skools march single tenors, we had single tenors b4 quints and other multiples

  • @woodyman90 it might be to do similar thing with base drums each one comes in at a different time.

  • @woodyman90 you and everyone that gave you a thumbs up are obviously are into corps style drum lines, so i understand why yall dont understand. without those tenors this style is ineffective.

  • @woodyman90 it adds effect. think of it as a drumset. a lot of cadences sound better using those single tenors. in fact most southern drumlines only use the single tenor instead of multi toms

  • @woodyman90 they add effect. single tenors have actually been around longer than multi toms. in fact when DCI first came out in the 70's majority of the drum corps useed thesingle toms. also before HBCU drumlines picked up multi toms they used the single toms instead. also alot of HBCU drum cadences are driven buy the single tenor drum. there are only two drumlines i know of that use only snare, bass, and single tenor. those drumlines wpuld be tennessee state and southern university

  • @woodyman90 Single tenor drums are toms. They are just deeper snares for added dimension and sound texture. I played one freshman year during football season. When we play we can generally improv what we want as long as it sounded good.

  • @woodyman90 they add effects. HBCU drumlines have marched them way before quads and quints were invented. even DCI use to march them back when they only did traditional style of marching which is the high step marching

  • @woodyman90 Oh, well, you hit them and they sound like ass and most people don't use them (probably because they sound like ass) so until it is identified that there are toms, everyone just assumes that the bassline is sounding like ass. It's sort of a practical joke for band directors that don't like percussion.

  • shonuff9 your an idiot no show band could play anything corp style and they could never march like a corp. Show bands have nothing on corp

  • what kind of roll are they doing is it a triple

  • yea...but at first it starts out as a regular double stroke

  • I SHOW.. IN MY CHANNEL..GTUBASS...

IM FROM PANAMA.... is the Best COuntry 4 BASS DRUMERS................. PLEASE DONT COPY DE MOVEMENTS AND STEPS.... THANKS

  • this would be cool,if i wasint on a drumline and i couldent hear how simpl and dirty this hole thing is

  • Hell ya man...dirty with a capital D!!!!!!!

  • Holy crap the one guy has his quads high...

  • Ok, I'm all for corps, but when they (corps) see this shit coming at them, they run in hide for cover. Not cuz hbcu stuff is harder and more technical but because it connects with people's inner rhythm unlike corps lines. Corps can keep the technical stuff, I want something that sounds good and that connects with me, and thats what hbcu drumline rhythms do. It's their job.

  • Maaaaaaaaan i can feel about 1% of wut you just said. Sometimes the technical stuff is a lil weird, BUT I'd definitely rather play that than this BULLSHIT that just played. I bet 1 million dollars none of them would survive an hour wit a DCI Drumline.

  • I can't say I agree Delaware St. (HBCU) plays DCI and routinely places. Thought I don't know about wins, I don't know any Corp style bands that can play show style. Maybe in my last comment I hoed Corp style unjustly. Corp is sweet; don't get me wrong but it takes mad skill to play either. Some of the Corp players on youtube just seem to be extreme haters. When I know bands like Alabama State, A&M, Grambling, Delaware State can play either way and do pretty well.

  • Any corp drummer can play this music. This music is about 1/1000 of the difficulty of a corp show. Corp music is way harder and they are marching insane drill at the same time. I'm pretty sure it doesnt take skill to play this crap. This is really easy and on top of that its super dirty. To judge this next to a corp drumline is complete bull shit.

  • well wen yu can march 90's in a drill and dance AND play this... Then talkk shit. i dnt get core style band members like? i f you would SHUT THE FUCK UP for a second you might learn sumthin. im inna high steppin band and we ENJOY seein APP STATE... FSU... PERDUE. But nope yall are so bizzy tryin to be stuck up "better than you" assholes that yu cant learn to respect anything other than concert band

    ~J.B.~

  • lol HELL YEAH!! There are those type of people in corps style, but show style is guilty of the same. But maybe you shouldn't have used APP State, FSU or Perdue as good examples cuz they're not. Try JSU Marching Southerners or RCC.

  • i mean im juST Sayin i like ThoSe i mean APP STaTe To me iS... ThaTS BaSically my home Town corp STyle BanD kuz im from N.C. BuT i mean you See whaT im Say... im high STeppin all Day BuT i appreciaTe core So i mean?? wTf? grow up anD geT The SanD ouT your aSS cracK... proBly why you DonT high STep haha

  • Now you are right about corps style drummers bein cocky cuz we get beat down and work our asses off to be perfect, (dnt always happen) but u cnt tell me that this is good in any kind of way. But hey, i got to see Alabama A&M play their micheal jackson show and i enjoyed it.

  • @dbabycool41291 dude just because as a group they play well doesnt mean that each individual person is bad. this school combines both show and corps drumming but they focus more on show for the audience. you do realize that this is from 2006 though right? check out the 2010 line. college drumlines were made to be entertaining not just stand there and play rudiments

  • you're retarded

  • Sick!

  • hbcu

  • THAT WAZ SLOPPY

  • i agree man....but dat jus push hbcu bands/dlines to greater heights bro....ain't nothing gona stop da progression that hbcu percussion sections are making....we even have a school (norfolk state university) that has took the traditional corp style technique, transitioned the style to hbcu show style and they have been waxing the heck out of the corp style dlines that they come in contact with...

  • It's crazy how drummers from corp style lines are so quick to hate, but when you look at corp drumline vidoes you don't see any show style guys hating on them for playing stiff, boring, beats. Insecurity??? I think so...

By the way how many people would have gone to see a movie about corp style drumming??? Can you say snooze fest???

  • damn u read my damn mind yo

i was just thinkin bout that ish and thats str8 tru

  • Corps drumming is in no way stiff or boring. It's just too hard for you to play, so you dismiss it as horrible.

By the way, about 500,000 show up each year to watch DCI in theatres.

  • See what I mean... 500,000 thousand! What a Blockbuster!!!!

  • That still doesn't escape the fact that toddlers could play the drum parts show bands play.

  • Hasn't Deleware St. been giving Corp style lines hell at DCI? Aren't they a show band? Try again please...

  • It's all courtasy clap. They aint shit!!

  • LOOK AT PART 1

  • are u kidding? so dirty gotta practice on making your music cleaner.

  • wow that was actually not that dirty

  • i like it

  • watching this video just reminded me of how stutid the movie is

  • exactly

  • agree.

  • screw yall that movie was dumb as hell. but this a&t is the real deal.

  • hey not all, dnt let one vid depict da souths percussion skills in its entirety dats jus pure ignorance

  • raw!(:

  • i love the ending

  • wow those guys are just awesomE!

  • i wouldn't mind seeing the rest of that!

  • the ending was tight!!! Awesome!!

  • god this is dirty

  • and? it is still one of the best drumline i ever herd

  • no man almost all drumlines us traditional grip, but ive never heard of using traditional grip hurtin your hand after a while, but if you wanna see won of the best lines in World class [High school] in WGI look up Dartmouth Highschool, They us MATCH GRIP

  • the snares use it too?

  • i didnt know band instructors still make the snares use traditional because my band teacher said that most band teachers dont wanna teach traditional cause something about hurting your wrist when you get older or traditional hurts when you use it a lot.

  • Yo dis when JR was still marching. dats my homie.

  • I hate when videos end in the middle of a cadence! anyone feel me ?

  • i feel u.

  • anyone know where I can hear the whole cadence "smash mouth"?

  • I've never had a chance to A&Ts drumline, sounds good, (a lot of snares)

  • this was tight....very nice cold steel aint no joke!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!

  • Hell Yeah!!!This is bitchin!!!lol idk

  • people who leave comments putting down other peoples drum lines have obviously never been in one so when you are actually in a drum line go ahead and put them down but it only show you are very immature and can't apreciate a good drumline one you see one

p.s the movie drumline is a joke worst representation i have seen on the planet

  • ive been in a drumline b4 and if drumline wuz such a bad movie how come a lot of bands taking the music and stuff

  • A Networking Site for the HBCU community !!! dot com

  • Finally...A Networking Site for N.C. A&T !!!

     dot com

  • nice visuals but work on the music.

it really isnt hard music at all...

  • impressive visuals i spose, but overall dirty playing.

  • wow you guys have some crazy hair not that it is a bad thing

  • I'd rather listen to this than all the shit bands playing in l a why can't you go to a club and hear this instead of paris and britneeeeeee

  • nice visuals...now let's get to the playing

  • atlanta a&t is not a real school

snare need 2 clean it up

  • You do know this is NORTH CAROLINA A&T right? Which is a real school

  • its also so when they do high step...

  • Those are some pimp visuals

  • They're high because that's how they like to tune them. Nothing wrong with that :)

  • He is talking about the height of the drum.

  • why dude quads so high

  • the guy (his name's eurri, not that it matters) is so tall we can't bring his quints down any lower. the other tenor (jr) is much shorter than eurri as well.
