  • hey i did everything correctly but when i play the sound doesnt come. help!

  • So I did exactly what you said and all it did was give me a high-pitched squeal. Am I doing something wrong?

  • 0:54 *

  • Haha turn on the subtitles and go to 0:50 ! xD

  • thanks

  • mine sounds all retarded o.O

    its like.

    bloopBLOOPbloopBLOOPBloopBLOOP....

    if that is understandable ....

  • @newzealanddude92 Hey man, I've got it working and all that, but when used in my playlist, the drop just keeps going. And then I get this super low bass rumble throughout the rest of my song. Any tips?

  • Amazing tutorial. my headset literally vibrates but it's kickass. Great job. Thank you. :)

  • Perfect Subass drop :D

  • Damn thanks for your help bro...been really lookin for sum good bass.

  • Thanks dude!!!

  • And I cant hear the drop for somereason.

  • Sorry for being a dipshit but how do I get that new sample thing? Got FL yesterday

  • awesome !! my parents just flipped out and my whole house vibrates :D

  • Thanks alot mann.

  • So, this may be completely retarded but uh... I opened the 3x0sc thinger and right after I click C7 none of the lower keys(anything below c7) make any sounds. :c

  • @HospitalMusic Gotta right click it, if ya left clicked it I think it effs it up. Hope that helps

  • @HospitalMusic Left clicking gives the instrument a note range (i.e. if you had clicked C7 - B7 it would've only played notes on the 7th octave). This function is normally use for multiple layered instuments. It the instrument selected will only play the notes that are highlighted. Right clicking is what changes your root note.

  • what headphones do you recommend for really good bass?

  • @Element115fl I use Pioneer SE-DJ5000 headphones, which have plenty of bass and good sound quality

  • @Element115fl xb300,xb500,the headphones the uploader said also,the beyerdynamic,sennheiser 555,dre beats pro,xb700,xb1000,ultrasone,Philips 120$ and above,skullcando aviators and anything above it.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH MATE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm still a Fruity Noob so I really appreciate this video man....thanx

  • this is awsome. u used to reverse the "Odd" sound effect, but this method lets me pick tone and pitch, so thats awsome. thanks man!

  • fuckin thank you! i was pullin my hair out trying to figure out some good bass sounds

  • lol you just shook the sub in my headset xP

  • Great Thanks so much!

  • I have already made changes to the 3xOsc, how can I make this bassdrop without affecting the patterns I've already made with the 3xOsc?

  • awesome dude ! Thank ya so much !!

  • Thank you so much!!! -TravelGames

  • What is a basedrop? I do breakdowns all the time, but when i listen to bassdrops it sounds like a breakdown or a chorus of a song.

  • thanks a lot bro. im pretty amateur with producing beats but im pretty good at melodies. just need work on my bass line :)

  • Thank you very much for this tutorial. It is simple and clear, straight to the point ! Congrats' ! =)

  • Really nice share... thx. God Bless your talent....and don't stop to share with us...

  • Holy shit...thank you!

  • cool!! i never new how to create bass sound in FL studio

  • you mean decay

  • @pRUSSIANq uhh last time i checked, ENGLISH was not called american...theres more than america in world you best not forget it

  • thx man, this is just what i need for my project, tried to think this long time then i decide to check out youtube and find this ! <3

  • my subbass interferes with this vocal sample, like when the subbass is playing the vocal sample is reduced in volume?

  • @pRUSSIANq russian!

  • still i like to make some good bass in my fl project i dont how to be!!

  • bosss

  • "oh and if you have subs, i hope i didnt just blow up your ear drumbs"... liiittllleee late -.- hha xD Dx :P

  • @pRUSSIANq Yeh I'm a complete fake... Called traveling the world bud

  • The pitch of mine stays really high.

  • @ReachTN same

  • If you are using for example limiter on the master, how does that affect the actual bass in the song?

  • @Fleskpannkakah Depends on your leveling of the other tracks. Limiter just limits the overall sound (if you put it into the master channel).

  • how do i get the sound to stop? after the drop it plays a staticy sound and after like a minuet it plays a monotone beep. please help.

  • @MysticalRhythms Might be something wrong with your soundcard. Probably some latency issues to be honest. Try using ASIO4all driver and it should be fine.

  • @newzealanddude92 I got it, i wasnt using the piano roll

  • thanks man, really good tutorial,

im complete newbie with FL and I completely understood

  • I Learned ur trick and tried it. Chek my channel out to listen to the final output or just chek ur video responses!!!! hopefully ull like it

    Peace \m/

  • If you don't have decent speakers (or headphones), you shouldn't even create music ....

  • Thanks man, when i play this shit with my bass pumped up the goddamn door is shaking!

  • thanks man, that helped me out a lot!

  • great tutorial!

  • Nice video, whats the point of overdrive/?

  • @Altermax777 Boosts the frequencies a little. Don't have to do it, but it also adds some color to make it sound more "authentic"

  • @newzealanddude92 k thanks this mademy song crazy

  • Comment removed

  • where do i get the software?

  • @CroOokedTeEth Buy it

  • perfect tutorial. ILL!

  • very nice this helped me alot

  • I did exactly as this showed, but for some reason,it adds a little 'beep' at the end of the bass. What's going wrong?

  • @Erronoobus Try using your ASIO drivers. Options > Audio Settings, then choose ASIO from the drop down list. Worked for me when mine made kind of cackly noise.

  • Ty.

  • You have an awesome voice.

  • Thank you :D

  • thanks. Very nice to now things like this. im kinda new to FL studio. but im learning fast. I seem to be having alot of trouble making a good dub pattern. Any tips?

  • great tut. been using fl for about 7 years now and this was really useful!

  • awesome technique!

however, it distorts the kickdrum in the percussion :/

  • its not working for me

  • FOR ALL WHO HAVE SMALL ASS SPEAKERS,SHITTY LAPTOP SPEAKERS OR HEADPHONES AND DONT HEAR THE BASS DROP....THEN BUY AT LEAST LOGITECH Z-5500 WITH A HUGE SUBWOOFER (at least) THEN YOU WILL HEAR THE BASS DROP IN INSANE VOLUME!

  • @TheGRIPCore I got a sony wireless headset. Works fine.

  • @inyourfacesociety Im not saying that headset is bad :) you just can hear the bas more with subwoofer :) thats all

  • thank you very much! I am getting the hang of doing things right, even if i don't have an immediate use for a bass drop it was a very good tutorial

  • awesome tutorial mate !

  • lol, my 10e cheap headphones can hear the drop, awesome.

  • And I thought 3x was only good for wubwub but thanks this is going into my dubstep

  • The only thing that I don't like about this method is the fact that it overpowers the other sounds. Once you add the bass boost and the blood overdrive, everything else in the track goes almost silent.

  • @CerebrumTranceStep What sounds? lol. A bass drop is usually used in a fill or the first beat of a bar. So unless you got other basses at the beginning of your bar in the 20-100hz range than there should be no overpowering of sound. Gotta learn to mix your sounds correctly otherwise anything will overpower any sound. The key to making a bass drop effective is to go by the wise words of "Everything in moderation." One bass drop per track is gold

  • @newzealanddude92 I'm talking mostly about percussion, such as kick, hat and snare. Since blood overdrive and bass boost are distortion tools, they overpower other sounds easily. I even put stereo enhancer on the other plug ins, but this still made them go way silent. I mix sounds just fine. I don't use multiple bass drops like this either.

  • @CerebrumTranceStep Well you don't have to do exactly what I do then lol. Do what works best for you

  • @newzealanddude92 Oh, believe me, I did. This tutorial works great and is a fantastic way to automate a bass drop, but it's up to the person to find the best usage of it within the track. For me, it was just a bit tough because I'm not using it in an intro. I'm slapping it down in the middle of the track where a lot of stuff is going on. Thanks again for the tutorial. I didn't want to seem like I was ragging on it or anything. My respects ^_^.

  • @newzealanddude92 Hi, its overpowering my other sounds too, do you have any tips to fix it? If my guitar plays at the same time with the bass drop, the guitar sound sucks ass big time xD

  • @CerebrumTranceStep Put A Limiter In The Master Track!!! Then Anything Will Be Overpowered Everythink Will Be At 0 Dbs..

  • @CerebrumTranceStep Thats why u mix it...............

  • @AtticRecordsOfficial I'm not sure why you're informing me of this. I'm perfectly aware of the fact that the "mixer" is used for "mixing," sir. But thanks anyways ^_^.

  • @CerebrumTranceStep What i meant mate is that if it is all mixed well and all of the sounds fit together and work together in their respectful frequency spectrum, the bass will come thru nicely leaving and the other sounds will shine thru regardless and will not overpower the other sounds. No disrespect mate. :)

  • @AtticRecordsOfficial Thanks for the clarification :D. No disrespect taken.

  • How can you do this with Massive? or can u like put Massive in the effects ?

  • damn felt that drop in ma chest

  • is it okay if i use 3xosclead great video :)

  • Good stuff, appreciated =] Coming from a metal background, getting into electronica and dubstep. I was able to make some nice drops instantly =]

  • Is it possible to use this program to record music and add bass drops in?

  • how do i get up that patterns list, i got up the lsit but it only shows tracks

  • Comment removed

  • oh nice, i usually just throw in a slide down an octave from the note and it gives me the same effect, but now i know a few things about the 3xocs.

    Thank yah!

  • Nice

  • how do i save it and put it into songs?

  • @SlipKnotIOWAmasks put it in the playlist and save it as a wave file

  • Excellent tutorial, also an essential way to use subbass as a standard note for songs, thanks

  • Nothing anymore I found it sorry for that comment :)

  • Hi Im kinda noob in Fl studio so I haz this pack thing in the left bar where are all the sounds and the name of it is 3xOsc but there is multible sounds in that pack? Sorry for the bad english :D

  • Can you upload this Bass Drop sound effect and give us the link?

  • Thanks A lot! Really helped a lot.

  • Thank you!!! This really helped!!!!

  • Dope sound. Thanks bro :)

  • lol its totally silent on my laptop

  • @Esoremada Lol cause its a bass drop... Laptops don't have much bass at all lol XD

  • @newzealanddude92 not true, i have a subwoofer on my laptop. lol

  • @newzealanddude92 My laptop does, because it's bawse.

  • @Esoremada Laptops don't really have a subwoofer.

  • is there any way to reverse this like gaining tesion before a drop

  • @DailyDosageOfDaft1 Like a sweep? or if you just want to reverse the drop then you could record it in Edison and then just reverse it with some nice reverb. Could sound nice. Don't really know what your asking =P

  • @newzealanddude92 hey how can i get that pattern list it shows me only that track list !!!

  • Comment removed

  • @DailyDosageOfDaft1 Turn the AMT knob all the way up! :D

  • @DerekkAlexander olright

  • Tight ass video bro. Thanks for the help

  • Thanks, man, so much easier than using a pitch LFO.

  • Wow this is sick

  • Great video man thanks a lot.

  • dude thanks

  • YOU ARE AMAZING! thank you:)

  • Overlap just 2 bars of it on the same note, slightly offset (One right after the other). Shit your pants.

  • thanks this has helped me a lot (:

  • Dude so much better of a tutorial than any other vids...all others dont rly say what they're doing. Thank you.

  • Perfect

  • Thanks man!

  • I just want a kick that goes "BAAAAUUUM!" instead of "bam" It's like a deep ass bass guitar.

  • @caroblast Easy but I spent like an hour trying to figure it out. And now I forgot.

  • @caroblast I don't think you can emulate a bass guitar with 3xosc =P. How about just using a bass guitar? lol XD

  • @newzealanddude92 it won't work. it just gets really quiet when I play it as deep as I want it. I don't think you get it. It's like hiphop bass. Nevermind I figured it out already anyway.

  • @caroblast If the note is too low then your speakers won't pick it up. Your bass needs to sit at a certain range. Some speakers won't even pick it up anyway. If your using a subwoofer it should sound fine.

  • good tutorial thanks!

  • thanks this really works good finished my song thanks to you :) (im a noob at fls)

  • bomb ass tutorial man! thanks mad props

  • Awesome...Filthy meter to max!

  • wooooooot A KIWI !!!

  • Holy crap and if you hold a higher note its goes through a huge range and everything rumbles :D

  • sick man thanks

  • Nice Drop

  • @ClaudeRautha There's a huge difference between Overdrive and Distortion, the overdrive will boost you'r overall input to give more presence(if i can say it like that) and you can get kind of a distorted sound with it while on the other hand Distortion gives automatically that fuzzy kind of noise. Making the sound stop randomly like you said gives a totally different color to your sound, more hard kind of sound while fade out gives a more smooth kind of sound.

  • @SimonLandryMusic why would you want any kind of distortion at all or presence? youre just suppose to be able to feel the drop not hear it. eh idk why anyone would cut it out randomly it doesnt add to the song at all. If anything people will notice when it stops and itll sound awkward. The only vital part to the bass drop really is the initial hit. So it makes most since to make it hit hard then fade out

  • @ClaudeRautha Depends on the genre of music your looking for. If I was gonna put a bass drop in a hardstyle track I'd add some nice multiband distortion and some reverb to create a nice full and dirty sound. If I was gonna put a bass drop in a UK hardcore track I'd have a nice clean sound like in this tut. Really depends on what you are looking for. There isn't just one right way of doing things. Go by what your ear tells you. Only way you will truly be satisfied.

  • fantastic tutorial... great job

  • Excellent, simple tutorial.

    Thanks and thumbs up!

  • 9 people have no taste in good music, or at least dont know the skills required to produce an even decent song.

    Really great lesson, thanks!

  • Thanks man! This helped me out quite a bit, I wish I had the skills you have. No joke, good stuff bro.

  • @JaredsBackyard Oh yeah, also I know it sounds like a stupid question, but how do I reverse the bass drop, and instead of a bass descent, I want to make it ascend.
