Why do ppl have to hate on mt eden? Cant ppl enjoy both for what they are? They are completely different types of dubstep. you dont have to hate the other because you like prefer one.
@619stupify Yes, but Mt Eden did a really fucking shit remix of a Burial song. It genuinely made me angry... For that reason I hate everything Mt Eden has done... You can't just put shitty 'wubz' over a Burial song... That's just not cool.
@619stupify its not that people hate Mt Eden because it is completely different from Burial and is commercial dubstep, its just that Mt Eden ripped off one of Burial's tracks (Archangel), which i gather is what he does for the majority of his music, and has gotten popularity and following from that, when really the credit and praise should go to burial because obviously hes the one who created that tune. thats my understanding of why hes disliked.
Its like a spatial eclipse. The sun the moon and the stars all evaporated from the sky. Your only left with you and your being. A beautiful look into the sorrow of the soul. As if where all missing something.
It makes me want to fall in love. I feel no one has the time or the patience for love anymore. Love is beautiful yet people are demanding. This demands nothing from you!
Fook love and just listen to this. If you cannot love this then you must have some kind of disorder!
People think I am strange about how much I go on about Burial. But some people just don't appreciate the power in his music. You could have so much shit going on in your head. Then you go for a wander at night to somewhere remote and dark with Burial in your ears. Then all them thoughts come pouring out one by one and are no longer mixed up and you have the confidence and ideas of how to deal with them. But then you go to confront them and somethings missing... Burial in your ears =[
I felt that Burial's first album was a stronger candidate, but each to his own. However, Burial does deserve to get any recognition possible for his work. He's put some subtlety and soul in it that sets him apart from the rest of the genre.
@davian789 Damn right, i was thinking about the same thing....... or just walking outside under the rain, thinking about some things.....that would change your life....
There should be an official Burial party where there's a lounge and sofas or even beds for every true burial lover to hang out and share the enjoyment of listening to every burial track there is. Drinks and dark lightning included
@marshmellowface Well, he is not in the mainstream yet and probably will never be. and i love it this way. He doesn't get played on radios or get in the media, he is just a notorious artist in the Dubstep and EDM community.
agreed. i meant as soon as artists find a broader acceptance, many ppl dont like em anymore. it's a sad individuality complex that many kids seem to have, takes away some of their mojo i guess. if u like a song, why would u mind it getting played in the radio or seeing the clip on tv? that's using music as a fashion instead of just enjoying it!
@drinkmusik I agree, but 98% of GOOD music artists never get to the mainstream, because they do not make music for money, they make it because this is what they love doing and it is their passion, and they put their hearts into it. You see, good artists will never go to the mainstream because music in the media is not made by artists who make music from heart, but for money only. Nowadays good artists bubble up recognition and popularity among underground listeners, but will go no further.
Exactly, they're in it for the art! But whether he likes it or not, Burial has been getting recognition from all over the place for his music (Guardian- #10 album o.t.decade, Resident Advisor- #3, FACT Mag - #1) and he deserves every bit of it IMO. He's exceptional. We just probably won't be able to see him live =( but that goes back to him being a true artist i guess. greets from berlin
@drinkmusik I totally agree. Like I said, he has been getting great recognition among the Dubstep and Electronic music communities, but he and the listeners know where is the line between the underground popularity(where the best music is) and mainstream (where the biggest crap is). He has been presented in many prestige underground press. P.S It's really awesome you live in Berlin, I've been to Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart many times, and Germany is a really beautiful place.
@HexicNexus haha I don't even think of those two artists in the same context man. I think Burial is amazing music I can listen to in any situation. Mt Eden, on the other hand, is great if you are smashing bongs with your friends.
I think after listening to this track once, twice and repeatedly you start to think to yourself about your natural homeland where you originated from and question what your intentions are where you are at this moment. 5*
burial is just out of this fuckin world. he's a true artist, a one-of-a-kind composer and producer. this track is another gem. his music is so unique and powerful, its beyond words. I can't praise him enough.
I agree. I just stumbled upon this remix....perfect timing for this song to appear. I dunno about anyone else, but Burial's music seems to creep in and strike me and certain necessary points in my life. This track is definitely getting the repeat treatment.
@fitze285 I know right.... listening to this song while im walking outside under the rain..... thinking about things that theres in my life.... what it would be if i had done some things or not..... and the future..... i get chills in the back because of this song.
Enchanting and full of emotion. Burial is such an epic legend, it sucks that he did not win the Mercury music prize, that CD was totally off the chain!
@SilentBombr come on man he couldnt win. he is too low profile. way too low. music industry even underground needs some publicity. but this doesnt change that his music is way too good. maybe that is why its so good.

Elbow? Arse more like.
@SilentBombr no but thats what i like about burial its for the more understanding listener, and the underground listener to appreciate his music as much as we do, and i think if he got really famous and well known that would kinda be ruined.

Please come and check out my subtle dubstep take on Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' - one of the greatest tracks ever recorded.
A risk to remix this but had positive feedback from those who like electronica (not so positive from J.Cash fans however!)
You can find it through keyword search on youtube - "johnny cash hurt hobbz", or through my channel hobbzification
You can also download it via soundcloud
