@619stupify its not that people hate Mt Eden because it is completely different from Burial and is commercial dubstep, its just that Mt Eden ripped off one of Burial's tracks (Archangel), which i gather is what he does for the majority of his music, and has gotten popularity and following from that, when really the credit and praise should go to burial because obviously hes the one who created that tune. thats my understanding of why hes disliked.

@drinkmusik I agree, but 98% of GOOD music artists never get to the mainstream, because they do not make music for money, they make it because this is what they love doing and it is their passion, and they put their hearts into it. You see, good artists will never go to the mainstream because music in the media is not made by artists who make music from heart, but for money only. Nowadays good artists bubble up recognition and popularity among underground listeners, but will go no further.

Exactly, they're in it for the art! But whether he likes it or not, Burial has been getting recognition from all over the place for his music (Guardian- #10 album o.t.decade, Resident Advisor- #3, FACT Mag - #1) and he deserves every bit of it IMO. Like I said, he has been getting great recognition among the Dubstep and Electronic music communities, but he and the listeners know where is the line between the underground popularity(where the best music is) and mainstream (where the biggest crap is). He has been presented in many prestige underground press. P.S It's really awesome you live in Berlin, I've been to Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart many times, and Germany is a really beautiful place.
