You know, all my life more or less, I've loved and hated Patti Smith, because when I was just fourteen years old with balls barely dropped and pencil dick still limp, she had already said everything I could imagine ever wanting to say in my whole life. So there I was with a voice barely broken ready to throw that voice away and sacrifice it on Patti's altar and leave everything unsaid except of course, nothing was unsaid because Patti had already said everything I might have said anyway.
