  • -This is our kingdom, Spongebob.

    -Everything the light touches?

-SIMBA WAS A BITCH! EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!

-Yeah and Nala was the whore of Pride Rock.

  • This score is the most epic thing to ever be epic.

  • There is only one man per generation that can write orchestral music this awe and emotion inspiring. Hans Zimmer is the man of the last generation. The next is coming, and I envy him.

  • I can only see one cause for these 2 dislikes... they miss the button!

  • I'm 20 years old now ... and I can't believe it, Disney still manages me to stun me with its music ... As a kid I loved this movie ... and can you believe that I still love it ? :D

  • This music still gives me the chills and confidence that any kid needs. Truly inspiring<3

  • 2 people aren´t kings of the proud rock. (and an assholes)

  • Epic.

  • 4:20 always! I'm always near crying. seriously, that sound of my childhood touches me THAT much like no other melody will every do i guess..

  • @LoLaLoNgThEwOrLd i definitely agree with that

  • Hanz Zimmer, you legend! :D

  • 4:15-4:49, i want that to play when i walk across the stage for graduation

  • This is still my favorite movie! When I was little, I would watch it a lot. But then my sister was born and I remember her destroying it. So we had to buy another one. I think we had to buy this movie acouple times, some because of her, some not. But I love this movie! This was the epic disney!

  • i miss the 90s so much!!! please come back!! 2011 can never compare to you!

  • I've had the VHS tape since I was two years old. I remember watching this movie so many times that my tape got messed up. My dad fixed it for me and I continued to watch it every single day until I lost it. I found it about four days ago and re-watched it. It's seriously my favorite animated film. =)

  • 4:20 Just gave me chills, literally! Really felt that static electricity permeating!

    God I love this movie!

  • 4:35

  • this sounds so intense on the piano :)

  • I cried when this movie came out in cinema's again.

I grew up watching this movie. It is one of the most percious things in my life.

  • Dayum LK you so badass.

  • Happy Birthday Walt Disney... this is what you've inspired... your brother Roy is an amazing person!

  • you know damn well if Walt was stil around he would not allow all those dumb ass shows on disney channel....

  • I will never experience another movie experience like the Lion King where everyone, was drawn into the movie. Such powerful moments, this movie made me cry. I still remember going watch this amazing movie. Where at the end when Simba was walking up pride rock everyone stood on their feet, then when Simba roared everyone cheered and applauded. Such an amazing moment.

  • Real Disney or not, it´s still a company that's trying to make money, and old animation just isn't as profitable as it used to be. Things like this were huge back then, but not too interesting anymore. Yet, Disney still makes good stuff, like Tangled. If they've strayed from the kind of movies you liked as a kid, don't hate on them. Look at Nickelodeon, it's the exact same story. A company has to move on to still exist, and so Disney did, wether it's better or not.

  • perfect!

  • 4:17 instant chill button

  • oh-yeah im a 90,s kid and proud ...... best days my childhood days ... i born 12-31-1993 what a day ha ;(

  • thumbs for banished

  • Disney is still disney. I hate when people write " I remember the 'real' Disney" or something like that. If you don't think Disney is still itself, then check out the new Winnie the Pooh. Disney really tried to create something "old". But the movie only made 2 million more than its budget. So Disney actually failed.

They also made the Lion King in 3D. So don't complain about Disney. They are trying.

People have complained about Disney in all times.

  • @TCfoxs I agree with what your saying but Disney will never make another film quite like The Lion King and the other amazing films such as Bambi, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas etc.

  • I was 4.

  • 4:20-4:50 i hope this plays when i die and go to heaven and finally meet Jesus and when i see God :)

  • @Haley24x7 That's my hope too, mate ;)

  • @Haley24x7 I think you wanted to say Simba and Mufasa, didn´t you?

  • @Patu1700 no, 2 weeks ago was Walt Disney's Birthday and after Walt's death his brother Roy took over the studio and helped create a bunch of movies like The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and so on...

  • 4:20- 4:50 = my childhood

  • The Lion King is something later generations will look back at and say THIS is how they felt. It deserves tob e put in line with masterpieces like Tchaikowski’s Ouverture of 1812 or Mozarts „Die kl. Nachtmusik“

It really deserved it because it unifies every „big“ attribute of life there is, there was and there ever will be: Everything that makes life worth living.

I hope the generations following us in the circle of life can live with pride.

Don’t give away your future: Protect it! Live it!

  • i cried because i remebered how i felt when i first saw this movie with my parents when i was only 5 years old

  • I was at the 3D theatrical release. Lion King wasn't my favorite as a kid, but I was thrilled about the rerelease nonetheless. Now, as a nineteen-year-old, I found myself so close to tears, and to my surprise, it was mostly due to the instrumental soundtrack in the background. There's such power, such a poignant, sensitive feel about it. I've never heard a soundtrack do so much for a story (as lovely as the story alone is) before.

  • 4:10... OMG

  • goosebumb moment

  • My favorite score of all time <3

  • i was in the middle of one of my classes when i started listening to this and i started crying!

  • Children: Disney, you have forgotten us.

    Disney: No. How could I?

Children: You have forgotten who you are and so forgotten us. Look inside yourself Disney, you are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the Circle of Life.

Disney: How can I go back. I'm not who I used to be.

Children: Remember who you are. You are our son and the one true king.

Remember who you are... Remember... Remember...

  • @Limuel831 So basically, at the end of the movie, Disney redeems themselves and destroy all the teenage garbage they have?

  • @Limuel831 omg that is so creative and funny!!..nd true..lol...

  • @Limuel831 Up, Toy Story 3, and Tangled are recent... so I think they remember(:

  • @Limuel831 EPIC!!!! and i agree fully!! Remember who you are Disney!

  • skip to 4:20 for epic memory

  • @youthinkyouslick You have no idea how this score makes me blubber like a baby! Our theatre was having technical difficulties before the film even started. (I went to the first show I could find) I was terrified the manager was going to announce it was canceled. I was waiting months for this arrive! Thankfully everything went smoothly once they found the problem. And it's turned out to be one the best days of my life! Watching my all-time favorite movie in the Cinema is a dream come true! :)

  • Already bought my tickets for the 3D version tomorrow. I've seen this movie so many times I can recall just about all the quotes. I don't care if it's in 3D... I just want to see the best Disney movie ever made on the big screen again.

  • ayy yall jus givinn yall tha translation of what the names mean from the movie.

    Pumba-tusks, food in teeth

    Kovu-scars(like his dad)

    Simba-lion,tiger

    Sarabi-mirage or optical illusion

    shenzi(female hyena)-savage, barbaric

    zira-hate

    nuka-smells, stink

  • @whrobins431 Scar wasn't Kovu's father.

  • @jackiehallam62 ha. ya my bad i jus wanted to let people kno that his name represented "scar"

  • 2 people expected a rock song

  • I love how people furiously debate the topic of ORIGINALITY. There is a FINE line between originality and plagiarism, and if you pick apart any film/song/book, you'll never appreciate what it can offer.

But there is a quality of raw and beautiful emotion in the film that films today cannot replicate. There is a soul in each character, a heart in the music, and a mind in the atmosphere.

Its not the lineart, its the beautiful animation :P

SO pff. It still tugs at MY heart strings.

  • @fury098 hehe, yay I'm glad I'm not the only one!! ;-)

  • 2 people have no childhood

  • @imreadyyo26 ok you lost me as well.

  • @imreadyyo26 Wow, how long were you staring at the picture to notice that. Almost like you were specifically looking for something to pick out that may look "subliminal".

  • @PrimevalHunter300 i dont know why i looked at it like that. but i am a considered autistic. i look at things different. im just a little weird.lol

  • I DONT GIVE A FUCK OF WHAT YOU GUYS THINK FOR ME THE LION KING WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER THAN KIMBA THE LION KING IS THE BOMB!!!

  • I dont understand how someone can dislike this... Their Loss

  • It's so tragic. So inspiring. So much like Shakespeare and yet it's much more subtle for everyone to enjoy. The Lion King will forever be a Classic among Classics.

  • 2 hyenas disliked this.

  • who are the 2 retards who disliked this wtf you cannot be serious

  • there's just no better movie with better music!!!

  • I couldn't care if Disney Ripped the Lion King from Hannah Montana, this is still my favourite animated movie of all time.

    Remember.

  • 4:20

    CLEAN HANDS!!!

  • Kudos to you, Hans Zimmer!

  • love pan flute! <3

  • 4 : 21 best ever

  • MOST EPIC MOVIE SCORE EVER!

  • 2:21-2:32 = Dies Irae, or a close enough simillarity.

  • This shouldn't be categorized as instrumental. Instrumental means that it's the version without the lyrics. This song has no lyrics to it! This should be called a symphony!
