I used to sing and sound terrible and not know how to do vibrato or match a pitch or do anything musically-related that osunded good with my voice. Now I can sort of sing, I keep on pitch, I can harmonize, I can sometimes sing lead depending on the intensity of the song and whatnot. You CAN learn to actually sing, but 'learning' to scream can bring you further in that style of vocals.
