@HeRoiiNgSuS There are definitely "pubstars" that would rival pro players.
The real advantage that MLG players have over pub players is that A) they play against good players all the time and B) they know the game in and out. There are definitely pub players that could make the transition to MLG if they wanted.
In fact, xCal and Sandy Ravage were competitive PC players. I'm pretty sure both of them switched to console in CoD 4, and both held over a 3.5 k/d in their first game on the sticks.

I heard an admin say that for MW3 CTF goes by rounds and not flags, but that might just be for non variant, since MLG variant hasn't come out yet, who knows.
Also if any of you are on the edge about playing GB you definitely should. I'd recommend playing SnD perks only because that's where all the baddies and randoms play. :)
(My team went 22-0 playing SnD only, but we got two loses thanks to fucking CMRS.)

I believe we got a collective 5 maybe 6 kills and the other team were all +20 it really put into perspective how hard it is to be able to compete at that level.

Why would blast shield be banned? If it is, why would dome be added as a MLG map? The entire game consists of:
-Spawn, throw frag/Semtex, throw flash x2, run and spray. Repeat.

I heard an admin say that for MW3 CTF goes by rounds and not flags, but that might just be for non variant, since MLG variant hasn't come out yet, who knows.
Also if any of you are on the edge about playing GB you definitely should. I'd recommend playing SnD perks only because that's where all the baddies and randoms play. :)
(My team went 22-0 playing SnD only, but we got two loses thanks to fucking CMRS.)

@MoldedWater I agree completely I have actually been to events and I attempted to compete in an open TDM with some buddies of mine. I considered myself to be fairly good until I tired playing MLG. I believe we got a collective 5 maybe 6 kills and the other team were all +20 it really put into perspective how hard it is to be able to compete at that level.
