philippines isnt a poor or a bad country, its just the way God made the country, foreigns, dont think that way because philippines is a wonderful country, there are lots of happy people but sometimes they feel sorry for themselves, and either rich or poor, it will always be a great country actually everything on earth is =D

well dvictoria yes philippines was poorer than I expected and I say that as a foreign tourist who visited this country for ten days.But it's being poor doesnt mean that people dont like it for instance I really adored its people because eventhough they were poor they seemed very happy and laughed at all times.Other than that I really appreciated the struggle for independence of pilipinos in the past.But I think the first thing philippines needs to do is to ban those old buses.They pollute a lot!

sekhmet77, I agree about the buses. but although the Philippines is a poor country it happens to be a leader in biofuel tech. it is estimated that PI will be oil independent in 3 years. as most vehicles in PI are diesel there is no need to replace cars and buses and can immedialely use biofuel. In time the pollution will come down because of the clean burning nature of biofuel. The irony is that more advanced countries will not be able to convert as easily due to existing technology and laws
