The leopardess was being relocated to a remote area because she was eating livestock. The nocturnal leopardess had been sedated & was disorientated in the unfamiliar territory. She didnt want to leave the percieved safety of the cage since leopards are the smallest of the "big cats".

The ranger wanted the cat to get out of the cage so he would not have to leave the truck & return to the remote area after the cat had left to pick the truck up.
