I really like the fact that you entirely changed the dynamic of the song ! It's cool but well to be honest i don't know any of this but I find the intro quite amazing then it gets really weak ( starting at 1:15 ending at 2: 20) and then mediocre and that sax god ! Too much ;)

Still props for that and just keep working on it i am sure you can make something utterly amazing with this :P

Yo this is pretty badass especially when around :30 hits. I'll agree with the others though and say the Sax was a bit out of place. It just seemed to come out of nowhere, and seemed louder than the rest of the track.

mmm... I have to agree, I feel the sax is out of place. not only because sounds of the two instruments are different, but also the styles and the quality aren't the same.

Maybe even just getting a better mic would make the sax sound more in place.

Thanks man, this was my first attempt at a remix but in reality I'm a saxophone player and jazz fanatic at heart. I just got into techno/house and thought I could get away with mixing my first passion with this newfound one. I agree it kind of sounds out of place so I may repost this without it but I'll keep trying to figure out how I can get a sax solo to work in a techno song...it's gotta work somehow!

Wow this came out really well for a first attempt at making a remix, congrats. Sorry if I reacted a little strongly to the sax. I think it feels out of place because Ratatat's sound is so carefully planned and constructed, where jazz sax is totally freeform, they're like polar opposites. Keep up the good work though, I'm sure there are ways to fit your passion into the house/electro sound. I look forward to hearing more of your work in the future!
