  • you have to lose yourself in order to find yourself.

  • PLEASE STOP GIVING ME MONEY

  • just came back from india read all book went to leopolds lived in india guest house went to slum..was great to experience it along with book

  • man, nowadays those slums are in rent most of the times and the population increased many folds, most of these slums nowadays have AC, refrigerators and used for commercial purposes, that is why nobody seems to recognise him

  • Glad i got out of Colaba 2 days before the attacks!

  • It's called a novelist, not a liar. His time in the slum clinic was a long time before this interview so I don't think everyman and his dog will recognize him. If you walked through your old high school would you expect all the kids there to recognize you? That wouldn't make any sense.

  • Yea right on, still a lot more is fictionalized then that most ppl think

  • this bookk is great but its all FICTION WHY DIDNT ANYONE RECOGNISE HIM IN HIS OLD CLINIC??HES A GREAT AUTHOR BUT A LIAR!

  • @1981Bolero twenty years later you idiot!

  • @1981Bolero uhh. he did state somewhere that his book was mostly fiction. its just mostly misunderstood to be his real life account

  • @1981Bolero he did have a makeshift clinic, a lot of his book is just embellished a lot

  • @1981Bolero - He states that the characters (names) are fictitious, not his experiences. There was a real Karla, Prabaker, Vikram, Khader Khan, Khaled, Abdullah, etc. He only changed their names to protect their privacy. The book is not fictitious, only the characters' names.

  • I went to Leopold's in February 2008, before I ever read the book. Should've taken pictures of the place.

  • yea i left Mumbai three days before the attacks.... i was in leopolds all the time and stayed just opposite of the Taj Mahal hotel, in the red cross, pretty insane..

  • Absolutely amazing! Mr. Roberts, your book is one of the best I've ever read! Thank you so much for a unique experience!
