The one thing about the immigration problem I don't get is this: why the heck does America leaves its entire border almost undefended? I live in Barcelona, Spain, and my mind is divided. On one hand, I feel empathy towards the Mexicans who speak Spanish as I do and who share a common heritage with Spaniards. I live in Barcelona, Spain, and my mind is divided. On one hand, I feel empathy towards the Mexicans who speak Spanish as I do and who share a common heritage with Spaniards. But, on the other hand, Spain is now suffering a serious problem with illegal immigration, and I can understand the viewpoint of White American anti-immigration groups, as they want to defend their country and their culture against parasitic aliens who are invading Southern California (and most of the US).

my great great grandparents were immigrants. Just about all of us were, except for the families since shoved away to the reservations. There was racial prejudice even towards white immigrants, I've heard - as through successive generations of immigration to Chicago. Mexico harshly punishes illegal immigration to Mexico, they have laws even harsher than Arizona laws. The Amerindians deserve some of their land back, but Mexico lost its land in war, and we all know that war in the only holy law.
