What's the secret to explorers? They seem like any old post war tow truck to me but thats because I know nothing about them. Someone enlighten us as to how such a short wheelbase truck is so successful so many years after it was built? Good old british engineering? there must be a secret...
I dunno what the torque is when in lo-range but it was designed to pull 60 tonne tanks out of ditches, so no surprise this was an absolute piece of piss.

@sybilsguru No low range on the Explorer, just 6 forward and 1 reverse gear. More than enough!
