@AZURA888 Still doesn't change the fact that the MOVIES THEMSELVES showed the sentinels being disabled by EMP weapons(the offensive battle force of the robots, which are easily more advanced then the robots in the 2nd Renaissance). The EMP field from a nuke would be many orders of magnitude stronger than those weapons. Yes its possible the underground portion of 01 could survive. But any MOBILE machine army would be rendered scrap metal by a nuclear EMP alone, nevermind the other effects.

A bad case of did not do the research - ignoring the EMP effects of a nuke. Nuclear weapons can be specifically designed to create enhanced EMP effects of which even the most hardened/protected military equipment are said to be defenseless against. The machines were clearly vulnerable to EMPs as shown in the movies. A single one of these nukes of the proper yield detonated at the proper altitude could of sent the entire middle east back to the stone age & stopped the machine army cold .

There are MAJOR incosistencies here. Nuclear weapons don't phase these things, but then we see men destroying them with batons?? Nothing made of matter found on earth could withstand a nuclear bomb. There's teh EMP effect, the immense blast force, and the heat. It doesnt matter if the machines are made of metal; nukes heat the area around them to a few million degrees. that would melt the machines and fry their cpu's.

Actually i think that the kids show Kids Next Door kinda did a parody of this. Instead of the octo-walkers it was a spanking machine... when i first saw it i was weirded out. But... if anyone else likes going retro and watching kids shows let me know if my suspicions are correct.
