That is totally false. Under their red sun they are just as human as earthlings. It is only with the yellow sun's power that they get the powers they have as well as their recovery rate and aging rate.
The reason why the people on Krypton died was because they had no powers. Superman has the yellow sun so he is not going to get killed. The best solution to getting rid or superman if you are a villain, is to transport him so far away so that he can't return.
Marvel was never any good at balancing the strengths of their characters. They always made up for it in originality, cool factors and storytelling but like the later dragonballs they failed in balance.
They made them too strong for story's sake. It was the same thing over & over. Stronger villain than before shows up, kills a lot of people, Goku & others get stronger, kill villain, wish back dead people. I love Dragon Ball Z, and always will, but Toriyama could've been more original and did a better job with the power levels.

Imperiex reducing him to a skeleton is just absurd DBZ style power inflation, that really was beneath the level of story that most DC works have.

Sorry but Hulk does have limits. You obviously haven't been following the comics and you haven't seen the shows. Hulk does turn back into Banner when he leasts expects it. Sometimes when Banner needs to turn into the Hulk he can't cause he is so fatigued.
Technically, if it ever gets to the point that Banner is somehow dying and there is even a microsecond left to change, Hulk will simply intervene and not allow Bruce to regain control. Hulk has proven that he has more control and say in the matter when life hangs in the balance. In Hulk: The End, he first tries jumping off a cliff with the green guy climbing out of the crater. The next time he has a heart-attack, and Hulk takes over because he feels Banners pain and knows death is imminent.

Cut to real life, Banner is sitting there in the passenger seat, just sitting. But I looked reeeaaaally hard and his eyes are glowing, and a page back his eyes have gone green. Then the bullet hits him, but hes still Banner. It goes right into his head with his skull smashing through the window of the car from the force.
The next time we see him, it's Hulk with the bullet between his teeth. I imagine Hulk was already all there except for physical form since Banner said nothing in the last few panels prior to the bullet, which just helped the transformation along. I guess theres a point that when Hulk has taken over in mind, the healing attributes kick in as well even before he is Hulk. Interesting.

lol, naw man hulk vs superman did happen. back in the day in the 90's along with the "" WHAT IF"" mags. superman won, and he addmitted to it that the hulk damn near killed him with the sonic clap, almost killed wolverine too with that clap. superman said that the hulk was his worst nightmare and truely a worthy oppoinet. but still, i think they were favoring sprman at the time so i think the favor went to him that way. in my opinion, hulk is unmatched.

They made them too strong for story's sake. It was the same thing over & over. Stronger villain than before shows up, kills a lot of people, Goku & others get stronger, kill villain, wish back dead people. I love Dragon Ball Z, and always will, but Toriyama could've been more original and did a better job with the power levels.

Anyhow, Doomsday's spikes/horns, regardless of how they are drawn, are made of bone, stronger than diamond, and certainly not made of kryptonite. Doomsday has no weaknesses, if someone finds one, it will only work once. Even if it kills him. He just comes back to life stronger, and unbeatable in the last way. Imperiex reducing him to a skeleton is just absurd DBZ style power inflation, that really was beneath the level of story that most DC works have.

No they are not. Read the comics! Doomsday now has Superman's DNA, at least a little bit of it. He is actually weak vs kryptonite but it wont kill him. Doomsday could breath fire for a period of time as well but he is dead for now since Imperiex reduced him to a skeleton.
The spikes are the for weapons and bone plates to protect his organs.

Technically, if it ever gets to the point that Banner is somehow dying and there is even a microsecond left to change, Hulk will simply intervene and not allow Bruce to regain control. Hulk has proven that he has more control and say in the matter when life hangs in the balance. In Hulk: The End, he first tries jumping off a cliff with the green guy climbing out of the crater. The next time he has a heart-attack, and Hulk takes over because he feels Banners pain and knows death is imminent.

When Hulk came out, it was with the intention of somehow finding a cure for Banner because the shrapnel in his brain was driving him nuts. With the bullet story I mentioned, I dug up the comic and I have to admit I made a bit of a booboo. The panels leading up to the scene show Banner and Hulk having a bit of a struggle inside.

Banners been dosed with anti-Hulk serum and Hulk is really trying to get out. The scene in his mind ends with a green fist smashing through a door. Cut to real life, Banner is sitting there in the passenger seat, just sitting. But I looked reeeaaaally hard and his eyes are glowing, and a page back his eyes have gone green. Then the bullet hits him, but hes still Banner. It goes right into his head with his skull smashing through the window of the car from the force.

The next time we see him, it's Hulk with the bullet between his teeth. I imagine Hulk was already all there except for physical form since Banner said nothing in the last few panels prior to the bullet, which just helped the transformation along. I guess theres a point that when Hulk has taken over in mind, the healing attributes kick in as well even before he is Hulk. Interesting.
