@McSplat Two part inventions were meant to be lessons really, not actual pieces of music . But at the same time i think that the playing here is everything but empty. It's actually very good, considering there arent many people who play the inventions on violin and cello on youtube i would just appreciate it as much as you can :)

I've been to loads of classical concerts all over Europe, and there's a universal snobbery amongst the audiences, and I don't understand why. The music is great, but the stuffed shirts are an unfortunate breed. Put on your jeans and T-shirt and enjoy in comfort, and drop the stiff accent, like Nige did after the conservatoire days. Nigel Kennedy is my favourite violin player not only for his mastery of the instrument but also for the way he engages with the audience in a humourous and self deprecating manner which somehow seems to stick in the gullet of snobs who would rather have all performers of classical music dress up like a penguin and speak with marbles in their mouths..

A perfect and highly energetic interpretation of Bach by Nigel and Julia played with consummate ease and due reference to the Baroque idiom.
