I respect your opinion, but I think you're misguided on this subject. A go-bag and a gun are tools for certain situations. Only because you have those tools doesn't make someone a negative nancy. If you wear your seatbelt, or have insurance for your things, or have airbags or first aid kit in your vehicle, does that mean you're "sitting there waiting for" bad things to happen?
Also, here are your "heavyweights" talking about storing food and guns:
having grown up in the inner city, small towns, & suburbs, (in both states that r pro-2nd Amendment & anti-2nd Amendment), as well as being an African American, there is wisdom in being a well armed law abiding citizen. most home invasions occur w/an average of 3 intruders. 1 firearm against 3 or more individuals r poor odds, esp if the firearm malfunctions &/or runs out of ammunition. if the 1 armed person is injured or killed, other family members have lost their protection. what then?
it is logical & practical 2 have more than 1 stream of income. prepping 4 natural & man-made emergencies is also practical. better 2 have & not need (or 2 share w/others in need) than 2 need & not have. our country & our world is in trouble & all ppl of good will need 2 get ready (physically, mentally, spiritually, & economically). we have been warned.
the british pound/sterling is also being devalued. the problem w/many leading currencies (i.e. US dollar, British pound, etc) is that they r not backed by precious metals (e.g. gold, silver). these precious metals r better hedges against inflation & have been used in commerce since ancient times. even Donald Trump is invested in gold/silver. most preppers know these facts & act accordingly (even purchasing land/real estate). get 2 know preppers & u can dispel the myths about us.
"preppers" is a more accurate description of ppl who prepare 4 : 1) natural disasters, 2) economic downturns, & 3) social unrest. ppl can choose 2 own firearms or not arm themselves;that is the blessing of being an American (control ur own destiny). Firearms r only 1 of the tools in the prepping toolbox (besides food storage, financial freedom, & first aid skills/supplies). most preppers r financially free & help others.
i'd be curious as to your thoughts on crash course with chris martinson. Your videos kind of alleviate some of my anxieties about the state of the world and our economy, but it seams like there could be collapse at some time. If all the people on welfare and getting gov checks suddenly stop getting it, they will try and get sustenance anyway they can. I live in the LA area,so if that happened, there definitely would be large mobs going around on the take.Guns would be very handy in that scenario
Here in Finland we need gun permits. I´m thinking other ways to protect myself in a possible bad situation, but I understand that in some people´s scenario a group attack with weapons is more possible. So they prepare for that. Only future tells, whose approach was the most realistic.
In some countries food riots have been reality. Who does really know, on how weak support this monetary system works and which way it can crumble and fast?
lol.... man, you were cracking me up. I agree with some of what Demcad and those guys are saying, but I definitely like your perspective; and agree with it.
Why own a shotgut, a 9mm, and a ak-47? Well, each one of those is for completely different circumstances. If the economy collapses and you can't buy food, you're going to need the shotgun for bird hunting. Most any bird is good eatin'. A 9mm handgun is good for common personal self-defense. And a high power rifle is useful for both home defense and shooting large game like deer. Now, if people are thinking these guns will beat an army against you, that's a pipe dream.
In 2007/2008 we were on the brink of a full blown great depression according to most economists now. Preparing at that point would be genius. Cut spending to 0, prepare for the worst.
The trick is, in any disaster, a certain percentage of people don't psychologically recover. They become trapped in the fear.
I think it hurts that some of the youtubers have built an identity on this, it makes me wonder if they're going to be able to snap out of it.
Good point. Its a vicious circle where they keep getting deeper into it.
Ive noticed that when I started to tell demcad that the economy was getting better he got really angry at me. Its like he dug in his heels and became more radical in the last year even though the evidence is around us that things aren't that bad as we once thought. Its like they gotta keep trying harder and harder to up the ante to prove to themselves.
1) Fire arms is the only way were still a somewhat free country. With out those we'll get rolled on. 2) The American Revolutionary war did happen ( Mostly the militia is what won our freedom from the british), so did the US civil war. Study History.
3) 200 trillion in actuall dept doesnt look good for us. does it to you?
4) Planning ahead and being prepared is a bad thing to you?
@grasshutz Logical planning ahead makes a lot of sense, but not planning like you are small Christian wacko group. I will have my plan up on video later today.
@mohammedabshaun Well your a Muslim right? then you would think any religion that isn't yours is wacko to some extent. do you see a recovery in sight? a jobless recovery? I know your into self business and not being an employee but is that for everyone? small bussiness starts like that one guys wants to do something but needs other man power. I just think your a little hard on the survivalist/preper group that's all, but as long as we learn from each other, that's what matters... good video.
@grasshutz no I don't think other religions ae wacko. I respect all beliefs. I ony see my success, I can't speak for the government I have no pwer over that just me. So I am looking at ways to be super rich and invest in all different markets. I am just am tired of the all the wining, doesn't solve anything.
And the best defense is a great offense.. What do you think is so Crazy about firearms?
In the countries where they have banned them, crime skyrockets! I like Dave Ramsey, but disagree with his advice about investing in the stock market..And we can now buy Yuan, and that is the only currency I would hedge bets on winning.. FWIW, I di dn't do the Y2K thing.. I follow current events, read the Wall Street Journal and NY Times and listen to MSM and alternative media.. Facts are facts!
The way I look at it, being at least a minimal survivalist is taking your theories of self sufficiency a few steps further. There is nothing wrong with it. They said that the titanic would never sink. They also said that rome would never fall. Why not be at least a little bit prepared for a worst case scenario?
@biggeemac there is nothing wrong with being prepared but sometimes you can go overboard. You don't need six guns to be prepared. But sometimes people become so obsessed with the world ending and the dollar falling that they don't spend time making more money. DEMCAD is a negative dude, and why would I take financial advice and preparation advice from a guy that barely can make it himself and there is not a collapse.
Whats the worst that can happen if you buy a couple of firearms, learn to grow and store your own food, put away some gold/silver, and have a closer relationship with your fellow community members? Maybe nothing will happen and I will have extra food and wealth in the form of precious metals, a couple of guns, and some extra skills that I didnt have before. I am becoming less dependant on government services, and I am also less dependant on the retail sector. I dont see any negatives.
There is a difference between buying one gun for self protection and another of buying a bunch of guns and fascinating about doom and gloom all day. Thats a pretty sad life to live.
LOL You hit the nail on the head. I asked safearmsreview why he kept buying so many guns and shooting at target practice everyday and he blocked me saying I had "attacked" his family. Point blank these people have a mental disorder.
Anyone who choses NOT to own guns does so at their own peril!! Think the POLICE will come save your asses? I am not even talking collapse here, I mean th epolice forces are being drastically cut. Add a collpase of the society, and you will be screwed.
@mohammedabshaun OK, You follow football, and I will worry about the government robbing us and My 401K being pilfered by the Banksters.. But, atleast you will know if J Lo is doing a good job hosting Idol!!
@savgal1211 My freind I am already prepared and it's far more than can goods and guns. 401K I really don't believe in working for anyone so don't have to bother with those anyway. You have braden the way you make money and dont put your eggs in one basket. A job is not the only means of income you just have to learn to make more in other places.
@mohammedabshaun Good, and I cashed out my money for precios metals, I buy and stack, I do have land and water and non hybrid seeds. I could live on ,my food supply for over 2 yrs, and I don't have to have a job, I could pay my home off earlier, I just know whent he dollar crashes, I will pay it off in the silver I cah out..
@savgal1211 You keep saying when the dollar crashes, do you have info that the rest of don't What day will this happen so I can get my passport ready?
@mohammedabshaun No, some things are like this: For every action there is a reaction, IE: 'The fed has gone wild with the prinnting presses and the value of the dolar is diminished with the M1 Money supply being in this uncharted territory. go to usdebtclocldot com, and I would LOVE to hear you expound on just how you think the dollar won't crash, at "Some" point..
Demcad considers his youtube partner money and random construction projects with his friend as his income. Maybe he makes as much as a walmart type income.
You dont understand the passion for firearms because you dont share the same passion. I happen to love them. Its not a matter of wisdom or cowardness. I have watched you for years and you emphasize the need for being prepared. Financial preparation is key for our futures and our families. So is self protection. If a bad person enters your house with a gun are you willing to give up everything you have, including your family, because you are not prepared?
@MrGlockManDan My freind I was in the military so I know about weapons. But you only need one weapon. The Russian army is not going to walk into your home, so you don't need Ak's. M1a1, 9mm and etc. One will do the job.
I NEVER understood the gun thing. I swear MAS, it's just crazy.
Demcad is no doubt a smart fellow and I wish him well. I feel like he's really hurting his image with the gun talk. Who'd want to hire a guy unless he was in the gun business. I guess he has the gun biz to look forward to. That's the trajectory he's on now.
I am in both camps, i am prepared but not paranoid.
Buying lots of food and storing it is a good investment as you can eat at last years prices, also bulk buying for me reduces my families eating bill each year freeing up more money for small luxuries like going out to a nice restaurant now and then.
But yeah instead of complaining about the government (here in Spain we have a lot to complain about in this respect lol) and instead of feeling sorry for ones self it is better to be proactive.
You have to see the other side, Demcad is really just doing it because he is a paid google sponsor. There are many people who are interested in this kinda stuff so I think the reason he is doing it is to build his subscriber base and make money online like most people on youtube is trying to do. A lot of survivalist are just most scared human beings, they need to learn how to look the other side such as business and investments. Having one gun is ok for self defense however. lol
Mohammedabshaun.... the solar storm was only a small part of what I have read on the internet as well as watched on YouTube. I can,t waste time buying too much guns , emergency food etc; Just the normal minimal would do. Meanwhile I know I have to forward in the game / business called Life. That being said ; do my best should be my top priotorty currently NOW !!...as I speak to myself. Just a thought Mohammedashaun.
Mohammedabshaun... I still with you and I am going to continue to watch your videos but I thought DEMCAD issue was dea, that you stopped watching him for the reason that he about 70 to 90 % negative most of the time. I dont, siat around and wait but..lets say.. I hear from NASA friends that a solar storm is on the way. I would prepare using up already stored minlnal supplies and THEN I WOULD FIQURE out how to make money since solar storm knocked all electicity / eletronics. Darn Keyboard !!
Its hard to determine where to apply your comments you made in this video Mohammedabshaun; A whole arsenal of firearms is not too great idea but some tools like some guns, emergency food are necessary. I am not waiting around for disaster either but at the same time... I am keeping watch on the news , science current information. A whole gun arsenal in the city; You are right bad idea....but...a Arizona rancher trying to protect his ranch>>> would need guns
Hey, would u guys go easy on DEMCAD? He is doing things much better than so many people. He isn't making himself a burden to anyone, is taking responsibility for himself, and as far as I can tell, he isn't pointing a lot of fingers blaming people for anything.
@mohammedabshaun He does blame the govt for many problems, but I have not heard him blame the govt for his own situation. He may have done that, but I have not heard him say that.
I agree that complaining about the govt is not a productive thing to do, but I think I can understand why people are doing it.
I think his negativity may be the thing which is holding him back in his life. He seems fairly intelligent and thoughtful, and seems to have potential IMHO.
@mmsayre you see thats the sad thing. He has potemtial and does come off as intelligent. He could do so much better in life, if he chnged hus attitude. His thinking keeps him where he is.
@mohammedabshaun They are making it increasingly hard every year to stay in business. At the rate that they are tightening the screws on the small guy, it is a matter of time of how long I will be able to stay in business. They raise taxes every year and impose more regulations. Regulations are costly such as excessive environmental regulations, accounting because of complex tax rules, lawyer to deal with complex legal issues, etc. The property taxes alone are outrageous.
@jimbobubbadj Ok I have all those same issues you have and I am thriving,my business is growing every year because of my actions. What are you not doing? I hear you blaming the government, but what can you do better to get customers?
@mohammedabshaun Actually I have plenty of customers. We are deviating from my previous points. Sovereign default, declining globalism, peak oil, etc. You are trying to debate me within the present paradigm box. My point is this paradigm is not going to continue. That's what I want to debate.
@jimbobubbadj You can't control the government sowhy focus on the new regulations and higher taxes they put on your business, why not focus on generating more business to take care of those new expenses, that's more of a power situation for you. You can always try doing business in Central America and make no money at all. So thank your lucky stars for being here.
@mohammedabshaun I may do OK in the future. I have chosen a different route than you. I have saved but not in dollars or any paper financial instruments. I also have some land that is paid for. The government can't print what I have out of thin air, it will always have value. I have rental units but every year the government is giving the tenants more rights and taking mine away.
@jimbobubbadj I hear all that and it sounds like change to me and that's called life. My granfather use to tell me when I was little, " I remember when Coke was 5 cents". Time changes and we have to learn to adjust to the change, the ones that don't adjust well will always lose. You are already anticipating losing, where is your fight?
@mohammedabshaun I have plenty of fight. You haven't checked out any of my vids. I disagree with you about BAU continuing on as it has been for decades. I'm preparing for a much different scenario than you are. I plan on living without paper fiat money as I think it will be discredited and become worthless. Globalism will be much reduced. I'm a peak oil believer so I am preparing for that is well. I plan on surviving and "Breaking on through to the other side" as Jim Morrison used to sing.
@jimbobubbadj If you are not whiniing, what do you all your speech now? If you are preparing why are you worried about the government now? You should be prepared. So why will Globalism be reduced, I only need a small percentage of it.
@mohammedabshaun With a sovereign default, how will the USA pay for imports? Countries will be wanting real things for the real things that they produce. With peak oil, there will be less energy available to transport goods over long distances. Things will have to be made locally.
My point has been this for the last few years. Mind you that this is from a Canadian perspective. Since 10 people die everyday from guns (Mostly children ) then guns are dangerous to hoard. But, Americans tell me they need guns to be safe ? So you have guns to be safe for SAFETY but guns are killing your children ?? In Canada we just keep BEAR SPRAY cans around the house and a gas mask because it will take out a Grizzly bear.No one dies from bear spray though they hurt.
@RETIREMESOON Americans mainly keep guns as protection from a tyrannical government. You don't think the government is moving towards Germany of the 30's?
@jimbobubbadj ......You asked me if I think that America is heading toward Fascism ? That's a delicate and dangerous questions so I'll try to respond appropriately.
NO,I don't think your country is heading toward Fascism. I believe your country is pretty well there already. You need to aquire Niomi Wolf's 2008 Documentry called "THE END OF AMERICA".It's scarier than watching the Exorcist in the 1970's. BUT, guns won't stop Fascism because they will KILL YOU DEAD with the military !!!
Think you soooo much for addressing this...I watch DEMCAD and sometimes I start to ask my self should I start getting guns and all that...But it seems alittle silly with the can goods and instant oatmeal packets. Anyway if something was to happen who to say you will be at home or you would stay in that location. It's all kind of silly although having a gun or two is always a good idea
Having said that, I do like DEMCAD, he seems like a friendly and genuine kind of guy. I suspect if he got a taste of success (I mean that in a broad sense, not really financial) he would most likely not be as focused in the train of thought that causes a person to think about what to do in the event society collapses. I can see the logic in having 3 or 4 different types of guns if your concerned about your security, though. Shotgun for close range high certainty, pistol for portable close range
I think survivalists are generally unhappy with their lives, and would like to see everything collapse which would put everyone on a closer level, socially, and would present them with problems which they know how to solve. Simple things like feeding yourself and protecting yourself are problems which they know how to solve and would give them a higher sense of independence. They probably feel somewhat helpless if their lives are not what they wish they could be, and see no way to improve them.
@mmsayre What people want and what people think are going to happen are not necessarily the same thing. Most survivalists don't want a collapse but they think that it is going to happen. Why should people invest in these "opportunities" that require globalism which is going to collapse due to sovereign debt, hyperinflation and peak oil to name a few. Doing things locally is what it is going to take in order to make it. They have more self confidence than you since they believe in localism.
@mmsayre They are being more realistic and have more faith in the local community. This does indeed bring people to a closer level which is a good thing. Many of you globalists are not tied to the community and this has caused problems of the community declining. As the economy keeps becoming worse lets see who will do better, you or the survivalists.
@jimbobubbadj This is exactly what I mean. Your statement at the end indicates to me, that somewhere in your being, you want an apocalypse, so that your relative social status will improve, because you prepared for armageddon, and I didn't. Dont misunderstand me, I think self sufficiency is very important and noble. I dont know where you are getting the idea I am a "globalist". I like airplanes and believe people of all nations trading together is a net positive, if that makes me a globalist, ok
@mmsayre Then we have a difference of opinion. I feel globalism is bad and you feel that it is beneficial. I do want Globalism to be greatly diminished. Localism is the way to go. Tariffs would go along way to bring jobs back here. Based on the economy here in the USA proves my point. I don't care about the economy in China. Its the economy where I live that matters.
@mmsayre Yeah, we a rea miserable bunch, College educated, debt free, a house almost paid off, a great job. Yeah, those who read great history books, listent to Glenn Beck ( Beck even calls us sick twisted freaks), and are involved with charities, Yes, we are sad and pathetic!!Or, we coul dbe like you! Watch reality tV, numb oursleves with sugary treats, be in debt , own the latest and greatest gadget, be on Govt. assistance, play lotto mand listen to the MSM, Hmm, think I will be a FREAK!!
@savgal1211 Not to split hairs, but how can you be debt free, and have a house "almost" paid off? Seems mutually exclusive. Congrats on the job and college, though :)
I am not saying anyone is pathetic, just that maybe you arent entirely happy with your life, if you focus a bulk of your thoughts on what it would be like if society collapses. You assume I have a lot of debt, watch MSM, play lottery, and collect govt assistance (my country doesnt really do that)? Does it make you feel superior?
@mmsayre Owing 30 K on a house is not much,, and how do you know it encompases the 'Bulk" of my thoughts, I am just prepared, good luck to you, if you don't have guns or food, I have other hobbies!!
don't say no one did nothing for you(its a figure of speech). i'm going to pm you the process for making gold in your garage. you never know, you might get bored and want to try it someday. i don't care if you believe it or not. it works.
I take it you don't take your family shooting. I go with my friends and family quite often. As far as the survivalist stuff, isn't this just another part of taking care of your family? At least store food and water. I did convince my fiance to learn to shoot. something about a woman with a 45 thats kinda sexy. :P
You are right about PC and responsibility to stop an offender. If there had been anyone at that AZ shopping center that had a CCW then that fool would have gotten a few shots off at the most. LEOs are for mopping up the mess after the fact not preventing. Read Dave Grossman's books and it will leave nothing to question. If more people had CCW then a criminal would think twice about their activity.
Demcad is obese....... that pretty much sums up the reasoning behind his nuerosis. Honestly i know that sounds harsh, but if Demcad was actually getting laid do u think he'd be the way he is (negative, lonely, OBSESSED WITH DOOM)? Im not saying this to be a dick either, i used to think EXACTLY like him (nvr had guns tho), but i had to really think about why i was that way, and i changed. Nothin wrong with SOME food prep and guns, but....... i mean come on. LIVE AND LET LIVE!!!
Agree. He needs to work on his HEALTH AND FITNESS instead of worrying about the economy. What good is the economy if your fat and unhealthy. Health is infinitely more important than economy.
Oh, and there is also something wrong with those who run out and buy gold thinking it will save them from starving. I have owned gold since Dr. North advised me back in 2001 but I have weath to protect. There are idiots out there speculating in gold when they don't even have an emergency fund. That is another problem ith this new group of survivalist. he isn't judging people that store food just those who have a defeatest attitude. have you listened to Demcad? he blames everyone but himself!
I think he is referring to survivalist that have stopped "LIVING" not the ones that have been responsible and created wealth and now protect it with PMs and food storage. I store food, guns and I protect my wealth with a holding of PMs. But there are those who take it to extremes and live for nothing but a preceived end to civilization. There is nothing wrong with being prepared but there is something wrong with a mindset that sets you apart from society.
You seem to be asking the question seriously so I'll answer. Living the prepper lifestyle gives you a better, lower stress, wealthier life. Knocking out your debts are a big part of being a survivalist. Without all that debt my expenses seem to average about 27% of my take home pay.
I have about 6 months of food on hand and I've learned to cook with basic staples. I grow a garden and my own sprouts. It's cheaper, better for you and makes you less vulnerable to supply interruptions. No downside.
2. Some people think we're preparing only for things like another Katrina, a big earthquake or the total financial meltdown of the country, but that's not true. We're preparing for everything. The vast majority of disasters that destroy of cripple people's lives are never televised. They include things like a job loss or an injury, a divorce, a big unexpected bill, and so on. Living the prepper lifestyle allows you to breeze through things that would decimate most people.
3, And since the prepper lifestyle is so low stress, it probably decreases divorces and other problems that are related to stress.
And about the guns. Different guns are needed for different things. In normal times I carry a concealed Rugar LCP 380 with laser sight. I'm good for about 60' easy. If someone goes nuts or starts stabbing or shooting someone, it's my responsibility to stop them. When seconds count, the police are minutes away.
4, I store some wealth in the form of precious metals. It's more like a savings program though since I don't have a huge hoard of wealth. Now that all my debts are paid off I throw a couple hundred a month into it. One of the biggest advantages of precious metals is their anonymity. If someone sued me for everything I was worth, the courts could seize all my accounts and property but they'd have a hard time finding the metals. That would give me something that I could use to restart my life.
People in my circle are very wealthy and we all have guns, gold, silver and at least 6 months of freeze dried food put away just in case the SHTF. On average, this about 5% of our total liquid net worth. I am pretty sure will never need it. What is the worst that would happen if we never use it? Answer, nothing. We don't think about this every day like the nuts here on you tube. We just have it for an insurance policy that we hope we never need to cash in. Life is good and keep up the good work.
What do weak people do when they can't deal with reality? Most withdraw or make another reality. They are fools and I know a whole lot of them. I deal with them daily. I teach budgeting and couponing classes to people that don't have the means to make it payday to payday. Most that I deal with don't want to do the hard work of dealing with how their reality has changed. They don't have the intestinal fortitude to deal with life. Sad but true. I don't listen to Demcad because he plays a victim.
It's pointless to hoard guns in order to protect yourself against the government. People need to stop with that garbage argument. Wtf is your AK-47 gonna do when a fucking tank rolls down your street or you get a JDAM dropped on your house.
I believe in being prepared but I don't concur with those who are sitting on the sidelines waiting on the "end of civilization". That isn't living! It is prudent to prepare, just like it is prudent to be a saver rather than spend all that you make. Many of these people that you speak of got blind sided when the market crashed, they lived payday to payday, buying what ever new and up-to-date items they desired and never planned for a future. Now the future is here and they can't deal with it.
If we didn't have guns, people would use knives, pitchforks, and hammers. I'm a short, skinny guy. I'll never be able to fight a big dude with a knife, so I must augment myself with technology. When the Klan, Skinheads, and their Japanese wives come knockin' at your door, you'll wish you had firearms.
Black folks especially have fewer opportunities to invest abroad because of our image, which is promoted in the media and the fact that we do not own as much when it comes to resources.
I bet in survival mode, Demcad would beat you hands down. In the future people will be worrying about their next meal not about reselling some stuff from China.
@mohammedabshaun What good is having dollars that are going to be worthless by sovereign default or by hyperinflation? What good is all this stuff if you have marauding gangs trying to steal it all from you? You are assuming that BAU is going to continue far into the future. I question its viability, your current paradigm. You may want to look into other possible scenarios.
The 2nd amendment was so people are better able to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. Preparations are a great idea as we into the beginnings of a long cold hard depression. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. It takes a person to pull the trigger. Putting money into something other than than dollar is prudent such as gold and silver which are real money and cannot be printed out of thin air. Survivalists are not waiting for something to happen, they are preparing.
@jimbobubbadj As the economy becomes worse, it is prudent to have some firepower to protect one's belongings. Getting to know the neighbors and developing skills that really matter such as the ability to grow ones own food and learning handy man type skills is what will matter in the future. We are deindustrializing. Mike Ruppert, Richard Heinberg, James Kunstler and Chalmers Johnson have great books on this. Green Bay is going to take it.
Why do you need more than one gun? To gain fire superiority. Why else?

I live in the LA area,so if that happened, there definitely would be large mobs going around on the take.Guns would be very handy in that scenario

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Demcad is a cool guy, I hope he snaps out.

Good point. Its a vicious circle where they keep getting deeper into it.
Ive noticed that when I started to tell demcad that the economy was getting better he got really angry at me. Its like he dug in his heels and became more radical in the last year even though the evidence is around us that things aren't that bad as we once thought. Its like they gotta keep trying harder and harder to up the ante to prove to themselves.

savgal1211 1 year ago
The way I look at it, being at least a minimal survivalist is taking your theories of self sufficiency a few steps further. There is nothing wrong with it. They said that the titanic would never sink. They also said that rome would never fall. Why not be at least a little bit prepared for a worst case scenario?
biggeemac 1 year ago
@biggeemac there is nothing wrong with being prepared but sometimes you can go overboard. You don't need six guns to be prepared. But sometimes people become so obsessed with the world ending and the dollar falling that they don't spend time making more money. DEMCAD is a negative dude, and why would I take financial advice and preparation advice from a guy that barely can make it himself and there is not a collapse.
mohammedabshaun 1 year ago
Whats the worst that can happen if you buy a couple of firearms, learn to grow and store your own food, put away some gold/silver, and have a closer relationship with your fellow community members? Maybe nothing will happen and I will have extra food and wealth in the form of precious metals, a couple of guns, and some extra skills that I didnt have before. I am becoming less dependant on government services, and I am also less dependant on the retail sector. I dont see any negatives.

You have to see the other side, Demcad is really just doing it because he is a paid google sponsor. jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
@jimbobubbadj is the government stopping you from gaining more customers?
mohammedabshaun 1 year ago
@mohammedabshaun They are making it increasingly hard every year to stay in business. At the rate that they are tightening the screws on the small guy, it is a matter of time of how long I will be able to stay in business. They raise taxes every year and impose more regulations. Regulations are costly such as excessive environmental regulations, accounting because of complex tax rules, lawyer to deal with complex legal issues, etc. The property taxes alone are outrageous.
jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
@jimbobubbadj Ok I have all those same issues you have and I am thriving,my business is growing every year because of my actions. What are you not doing? I hear you blaming the government, but what can you do better to get customers?
mohammedabshaun 1 year ago
@mohammedabshaun Actually I have plenty of customers. We are deviating from my previous points. Sovereign default, declining globalism, peak oil, etc. You are trying to debate me within the present paradigm box. My point is this paradigm is not going to continue. That's what I want to debate.
jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
@jimbobubbadj You can't control the government sowhy focus on the new regulations and higher taxes they put on your business, why not focus on generating more business to take care of those new expenses, that's more of a power situation for you. You can always try doing business in Central America and make no money at all. So thank your lucky stars for being here.
mohammedabshaun 1 year ago
@mohammedabshaun I may do OK in the future. I have chosen a different route than you. I have saved but not in dollars or any paper financial instruments. I also have some land that is paid for. The government can't print what I have out of thin air, it will always have value. I have rental units but every year the government is giving the tenants more rights and taking mine away.
jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
@jimbobubbadj I hear all that and it sounds like change to me and that's called life. My granfather use to tell me when I was little, " I remember when Coke was 5 cents". Time changes and we have to learn to adjust to the change, the ones that don't adjust well will always lose. You are already anticipating losing, where is your fight?
mohammedabshaun 1 year ago
@mohammedabshaun I have plenty of fight. You haven't checked out any of my vids. I disagree with you about BAU continuing on as it has been for decades. I'm preparing for a much different scenario than you are. I plan on living without paper fiat money as I think it will be discredited and become worthless. Globalism will be much reduced. I'm a peak oil believer so I am preparing for that is well. I plan on surviving and "Breaking on through to the other side" as Jim Morrison used to sing.
jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
@jimbobubbadj If you are not whiniing, what do you all your speech now? If you are preparing why are you worried about the government now? You should be prepared. So why will Globalism be reduced, I only need a small percentage of it.
mohammedabshaun 1 year ago
@mohammedabshaun With a sovereign default, how will the USA pay for imports? Countries will be wanting real things for the real things that they produce. With peak oil, there will be less energy available to transport goods over long distances. Things will have to be made locally.
jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
My point has been this for the last few years. Mind you that this is from a Canadian perspective. Since 10 people die everyday from guns (Mostly children ) then guns are dangerous to hoard. But, Americans tell me they need guns to be safe ? So you have guns to be safe for SAFETY but guns are killing your children ?? In Canada we just keep BEAR SPRAY cans around the house and a gas mask because it will take out a Grizzly bear.No one dies from bear spray though they hurt.
RETIREMESOON 1 year ago
@RETIREMESOON Americans mainly keep guns as protection from a tyrannical government. You don't think the government is moving towards Germany of the 30's?
jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
@jimbobubbadj ......You asked me if I think that America is heading toward Fascism ? That's a delicate and dangerous questions so I'll try to respond appropriately.
NO,I don't think your country is heading toward Fascism. I believe your country is pretty well there already. You need to aquire Niomi Wolf's 2008 Documentry called "THE END OF AMERICA".It's scarier than watching the Exorcist in the 1970's. BUT, guns won't stop Fascism because they will KILL YOU DEAD with the military !!!

mmsayre 1 year ago
Having said that, I do like DEMCAD, he seems like a friendly and genuine kind of guy. I suspect if he got a taste of success (I mean that in a broad sense, not really financial) he would most likely not be as focused in the train of thought that causes a person to think about what to do in the event society collapses. I can see the logic in having 3 or 4 different types of guns if your concerned about your security, though. Shotgun for close range high certainty, pistol for portable close range
mmsayre 1 year ago
I think survivalists are generally unhappy with their lives, and would like to see everything collapse which would put everyone on a closer level, socially, and would present them with problems which they know how to solve. Simple things like feeding yourself and protecting yourself are problems which they know how to solve and would give them a higher sense of independence. They probably feel somewhat helpless if their lives are not what they wish they could be, and see no way to improve them.
mmsayre 1 year ago 6
@mmsayre I agree.
mohammedabshaun 1 year ago
@mmsayre What people want and what people think are going to happen are not necessarily the same thing. Most survivalists don't want a collapse but they think that it is going to happen. Why should people invest in these "opportunities" that require globalism which is going to collapse due to sovereign debt, hyperinflation and peak oil to name a few. Doing things locally is what it is going to take in order to make it. They have more self confidence than you since they believe in localism.
jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
@mmsayre They are being more realistic and have more faith in the local community. This does indeed bring people to a closer level which is a good thing. Many of you globalists are not tied to the community and this has caused problems of the community declining. As the economy keeps becoming worse lets see who will do better, you or the survivalists.
jimbobubbadj 1 year ago
@jimbobubbadj This is exactly what I mean. Your statement at the end indicates to me, that somewhere in your being, you want an apocalypse, so that your relative social status will improve, because you prepared for armageddon, and I didn't. Dont misunderstand me, I think self sufficiency is very important and noble. I dont know where you are getting the idea I am a "globalist". I like airplanes and believe people of all nations trading together is a net positive, if that makes me a globalist, ok
mmsayre 1 year ago
@mmsayre Then we have a difference of opinion. I feel globalism is bad and you feel that it is beneficial. I do want Globalism to be greatly diminished. Localism is the way to go. Tariffs would go along way to bring jobs back here. Based on the economy here in the USA proves my point. I don't care about the economy in China. Its the economy where I live that matters.

No downside.
vention4wh 1 year ago 2
Living the prepper lifestyle allows you to breeze through things that would decimate most people.
vention4wh 1 year ago
3, And since the prepper lifestyle is so low stress, it probably decreases divorces and other problems that are related to stress.
And about the guns. Different guns are needed for different things. In normal times I carry a concealed Rugar LCP 380 with laser sight. I'm good for about 60' easy. If someone goes nuts or starts stabbing or shooting someone, it's my responsibility to stop them. When seconds count, the police are minutes away.
vention4wh 1 year ago
4, I store some wealth in the form of precious metals. It's more like a savings program though since I don't have a huge hoard of wealth. Now that all my debts are paid off I throw a couple hundred a month into it. One of the biggest advantages of precious metals is their anonymity. If someone sued me for everything I was worth, the courts could seize all my accounts and property but they'd have a hard time finding the metals. That would give me something that I could use to restart my life.

@GeorgeLRockwell87 when I invest I have never been asked my race. You can't get resouces if you are complaining.

You need multiple guns to deal with enemies at multiple ranges. If SHTF, you cannot rely on the military or police.
Also, multiple family members can each have one gun to use. Mama, Papa, and the kids. Watch "The Patriot".
