Absolutely horrible. This band reminds me of a few kids who had just heard of black metal, took an interest in it because of how oh-so controversial Varg Vikernes is, and after about a month of touching the basics, formed the band. This is so fucking stripped down of anything interesting or creative, it is beyond belief. It takes more than playing fast and adding blast beats to be black metal. Damn.

@BathorysGraveland but that is exactly what is beautiful about it! they are showing you don't need all the extra stuff and samples most BM artists add to the music, all you need is a guitar, drums, base and vocals to make intense music. The first two seconds i had the same reaction but then I realised how much emotion these guys put into, let alone one song, that is the true meaning of BM for me, making art in which you speak your mind and in which you put every ounce of your body!

Funny how 'metal culture' down plays the importance of aesthetics, yet the main criticism about Liturgy isn't the music (beyond sheep falsely stating that the are indie, when they obviously aren't), but instead the actions and appearances of the band members. For all we know, this could be an elaborate stunt to troll the metal community in order to gain exposure.
