  • @misspbj1999 ..Careful what you wish for

  • @flyyspit ik but i wish some stuff could still be lik the 50s though

  • This video is historical stuff. It was really the impetus for teenagers embracing and coveting Rock & Roll.

  • Great singer.. too bad he stole all his lyrics.. and didnt pay the writers a cent..

  • @VikTheRebel dude your full of shit. all the song writers got paid big time. so shut your damn mouth up about things you know nothing about

  • look at that sexy thing go!

  • Now that's what I call talent! He was just amazing. Raw, natural uninhibited energy that just oozed from him. God he was so Sexy. No one even comes close to Elvis in any way.

  • 3 people need hip replacements

  • OMG today in Social Studies my teacher showed us this becuz we're learning about the history of Rock n Roll and then this song got stuck in my head (:

This was such a lonngg time ago, I wish I could go back to see what it would be like in the 50s!

  • @twiliteluver101 Back then, no cell phones, no rap/hip hop, women dressed respectably, men dressed nice and no piercings,no tattoos, drugs were very scarce, no hookups, no sexting, no children dressed like whores, cars were better made, no black president, jobs were in America, no illegal immigration as such. Lot less noise then. Neighborhoods generally were quiet and safe. Rape and child molesters were few. People talked to one another.

  • @rbsvy91368 Yes, exactly! I think it would be really cool if people actually made contact with one another face to face, like knocking on the door and stuff like that but now with all the cell phones and computers we can't do that! >__<

  • @rbsvy91368 and you forgot that women and minorities were treated like shit, all the glitter is not gold

  • Love it when he slows the beat down... :D

  • Let the man shake his legs dammit!!

  • I WANT TO FUCK HIM.

  • rip elvis we will allways love you

  • what a badass

  • If there was no elvis wonder if there will be a michael jackson??

  • The performance the changed the music forever!!!!

  • @GAZZA3674 My GOD are you stupid. Let me help you: Sarcasm, noun, Sarcasm is the rhetorical device of using a characterization of something or someone in order to express contempt. It is closely connected with irony, in that the two are often combined in the same statement.

As in, my previous comment. I was S A R C A S T I C. Next time, learn before you exercise your right to speak, sir (or madam.)

  • LONG LIVE THE KING IN THE MILLIONS OF HEARTS WORLD WIDE

  • 1:28- the best part. I think it's the part we see in Forrest Gump.. or is it?

  • And they called his dancing inappropriate back then, lol, they should see what we define as inappropriate today ROFL

  • @Chimichanga12594 The "crotch gesture" at 1:30, followed by some more humping, is the ONE MOVE considered a seminal moment in rock & roll history! Nobody had ever seen anything like this on TV before & it definitely changed the staid 1950s society & beyond. Elvis was recently included in Life's 100 people who changed the world! Don't demean the importance of this performance which is still one of the sexiest I've ever seen!

  • This song was released by Elvis in '56, right? I was just wondering were there some prereleases or something 'cause James Dean died in September '55 and he was said to love this song and call prank calls to people, putting this record on. But how come he did that if there wasn't a record, does anybody know something about this?

  • @flowerlikelife5

Yeah I thought it was released in 56 too :)

Maybe he put the version on by Big Mamma thornton?

  • @flowerlikelife5 there were other preexisting versions of hound dog.

  • i love elvis

  • If only I was born 50 years before I was originally born, sure I'd be 73 rather than 23, but I could've been there for all this. Elvis will never be dead to me.

  • raw sexual energy..this must have been too much in thise years...still, he's great..must have given those girls wet dreams...

  • 1:28 - 1:33 is amazing! he's so good!

  • charisma cubed

  • no one will be like elvis the KING

  • The Real one

  • I love elivis

  • haha this was the performance that got a lot of politicians and parents mad at him..worth it cause he was huge after this

  • @krs5147

I don't get it why were they mad?

  • It was funny in that Forrest Gump movie that Forrest taught Elvis how to dance and then they showed this clip when forrest and his mom were passing by a tv store.

  • That's exactly what I thought!!!

  • "That's not for children's eyes." lol I thought exactly the same thing when watching this.

  • @SJSharkWannabe

    Whats not for childrens eyes?

  • The way he moved his hips may have been seen as a sexual reference in those days.

  • he is so beautiful :)

  • I love Elvis in this video a classic. I wished Elvis and Michael J. could have done a duet, that would have been EPIC! both King's R.I.P.

  • elvis is not dead he just went home

  • @mysticalOldBard his hanging out with alf and kurt cobain

  • Good thing Forrest Gump tought him to dance or things just wouldnt be the same.

  • look at elvis shaking, grinding and swinging those sexy hips 1.05 to 1.12 how i wish i was the microphone stand so he could move around me like that 1.31 is orgasmic he could really get his hips moving ;) i would of loved to of had elvis for the night ;) rawr

  • Haha I like his Teddy boy style in this one

  • he is sexy!!

  • im 14 but im actully in love with elvis presley :)

  • me too =)

  • the king foreverrrrrrrrrrrr:D:D:D:D:D 24 februarie ahoy he was great

  • increible

  • lol, stop corras

  • I thought Elvis stole his dance moves from Forest Gump...

  • dude, lol, saw the movie and i thought it was funny, but you really believe it?

  • Elvis improved on a style that was getting popular. amazing!

  • Lots of blacks love Elvis because he popularised black style of music. Lots of black celebs from those days loved Elvis. Also racism isn't the reason why Elvis became a big star and those black singer didn't. Elvis just a once in a lifetime talent. Not because he was white - but because he was a genius singer.

  • Wow this video is from 53 years ago... what an incredibly talented man. No one has charisma like that anymore; you don't hear girls screaming for lil wayne the way they did for elvis... no way in hell

  • @VideoNiNjaX123 That's cause Lil Wayne isn't the smoothest motherfucker ever born.

  • @VideoNiNjaX123 maybe cuz lil wayne has no talent, haha, if you go to the real talent, you could hear girls screaming, but not like this, cuz "mainstream" used to mean "talented S.O.B." but now it only means talentless "S.O.B."

  • @VideoNiNjaX123 you obviously haven't been to a justin bieber concert

  • @pulpnonfiction13

the women who screamed for elvis would eat those pre-pubescent "beliebers" alive.

  • @VideoNiNjaX123 The girls scream is not a meter for talent :P

  • @VideoNiNjaX123 uhh yea you do

  • @VideoNiNjaX123 No but you sure as hell hear them screaming for justin bieber like that.

  • @smokeassault117 true. No one would scream for any "celebrities" today. They aren't worth screaming for.

  • @VideoNiNjaX123 (not trolling) Even though Elvis (in my opinion) was a better performer than McCartney/Lennon/Harrison, the "girls screaming" factor at the Beatles concert was far crazier than Elvis' performances. In fact, one of the many reasons the Beatles stopped touring is because the shouts were so loud, they barely even heard themselves playing.

  • @forhotmail666 tv was new then and they had to be subdued and controlled at this time. remeber this was 1956. by the 60's things changed bigtime for tv performances. go to a real love concert from the 50's and the girls were a lot louder than they were for the beatles its why head to stop touring after 1957 police and national gaurds copuldnt control the crowds anymore .

  • @forhotmail666 Yeah, because their mothers - elvis fans - taught them how to scream like that ;)

  • i always wanted to be that hillbilly.

  • amazing

  • mi amiga adomanda esta enamoradisima

  • lol damn bitches went crazy over him...lol crazy...

  • esse homemé maravilhoso

ele é pai do roch roll

    simplesmente lindo esse home

    te amo meu elvis

  • People were simply ignorant ..... LIKELY AFRAID ..... when they were mean to Elvis Presley. He did not want to do "Hound Dog," FYI He was told to do it "for money." Did you notice how Elvis dressed, from teenager on? Suit and tie or slacks with sports jacket and nice shirt, attractive socks and shoes. RESPECTABLE, PROPER.

  • I just gasped.

  • when he danced that way...in this video you can see, girls just got crazy. but he was just feeling the music. However, in that time it wasn't normal a singer dance like that on stage. I guess if I had lived that time I would have been as crazy as those girls ahah..he was an amazing performer

  • SaraVii,

Absolutely ..... everybody at his church moved as did Elvis Presley ..... FELT the music. People ridiculed, and killed, Jesus Christ for being different. Fans took life of who they claimed to love because they demanded, expected, Elvis to perform continually. What he did do for them was by hand of God, inhumanly impossible. Elvis gave his life for THEM.

  • shonuffshowstopper,

Nobody invented Elvis' style. Elvis did not steal anything. Anybody, whatever color, who says so is untruthful. Elvis Presley, from one or two years of age, was at Assembly Of God church. He felt Holy Spirit as did other people there. That is not for only one color of people. It is for all REAL Christians.

  • The King !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WoW! One of His Best!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how come paople thought hsi dancing was "Bad/Controvery?" he was/is a cool dancer, king of rock n roll. :)

  • HAIL HAIL ROCK "N ROLL!

  • Rock n' roll purity.

  • You made me laugh a lot...thanks! It 'amazing how much you're ignorant about music. You need more studies about it. I think you have enough time...

  • So you mean that from Lennon to Morrison, from McCartney to James Brown, from Bono to Jackie Wilson, from Brian Wilson to Elton John, from Dylan to Mick Jagger, from Fats Domino to Bruce Springsteen, from Elton John to Led Zeppelin (and I could go on for hours) were all wrong when they consider him the King ? He's 'so overrated that has sold more than anyone else. Read some books of music critics.Your personal opinion is respectable but it's just a personal opinion. Objective truth is another

  • Se sei davvero tu, invece di perdere tempo a scrivere cazzate su YOUTUBE, ammazzati, assassina di merda !!! Crepa !!!

  • "i predict someday elvis music will be laughed at"? ROTFLMAO!

Hmmmm...it's been over 30 years now. In the next 30 years? No, probably not. Until then, we can all laugh at *you*.

  • even when he was "overweight with black painted in a polyester jumpsuit" thousands of people still brought tickets to see him

    elvis is incredibly popular

im 16 and i love his music

you cant get bored of it

its proper music not like the stuff we have today

    elvis is a legend

to me michael jackson is number one but thats my personal opinion and i know lots of people will disagree

but elvis thats where its at

hes far better than almost any other artist you can say

  • they both liked drugs

  • el rey. vaya manera de sentir la musica. veo estas imagenes y aun siento la energia correr por mis venas, nadie como elvis y afortunadamente tenemos tetimonios videograficos para seguir disfrutandolo. aaaaaaah, larga vida al rey.

  • he's haawt but alittle bit dead

  • Every rock star that came after him wanted to be him.

  • probably his defining moment.. never fails to blow me away.imagine this was in colour with the sound now. awsome
