"Crazy Man Crazy" recorded in 1953 by Bill Haley is the first recognized rockabilly track on Billboard. "Shake, Rattle and Roll" recorded in 1954 by Bill Haley is the first international rock and roll hit. Long Live Rock-a-Bill.
Now that's what I call talent! He was just amazing. Raw, natural uninhibited energy that just oozed from him. God he was so Sexy. No one even comes close to Elvis in any way.
OMG today in Social Studies my teacher showed us this becuz we're learning about the history of Rock n Roll and then this song got stuck in my head (:
This was such a lonngg time ago, I wish I could go back to see what it would be like in the 50s!
@twiliteluver101 Back then, no cell phones, no rap/hip hop, women dressed respectably, men dressed nice and no piercings,no tattoos, drugs were very scarce, no hookups, no sexting, no children dressed like whores, cars were better made, no black president, jobs were in America, no illegal immigration as such. Lot less noise then. Neighborhoods generally were quiet and safe. Rape and child molesters were few. People talked to one another.
@rbsvy91368 Yes, exactly! I think it would be really cool if people actually made contact with one another face to face, like knocking on the door and stuff like that but now with all the cell phones and computers we can't do that! >__<
@GAZZA3674 My GOD are you stupid. Let me help you: Sarcasm, noun, Sarcasm is the rhetorical device of using a characterization of something or someone in order to express contempt. It is closely connected with irony, in that the two are often combined in the same statement.

@Chimichanga12594 The "crotch gesture" at 1:30, followed by some more humping, is the ONE MOVE considered a seminal moment in rock & roll history! Nobody had ever seen anything like this on TV before & it definitely changed the staid 1950s society & beyond. Elvis was recently included in Life's 100 people who changed the world! Don't demean the importance of this performance which is still one of the sexiest I've ever seen!
This song was released by Elvis in '56, right? I was just wondering were there some prereleases or something 'cause James Dean died in September '55 and he was said to love this song and call prank calls to people, putting this record on. But how come he did that if there wasn't a record, does anybody know something about this?
If only I was born 50 years before I was originally born, sure I'd be 73 rather than 23, but I could've been there for all this. Elvis will never be dead to me.
It was funny in that Forrest Gump movie that Forrest taught Elvis how to dance and then they showed this clip when forrest and his mom were passing by a tv store.
look at elvis shaking, grinding and swinging those sexy hips 1.05 to 1.12 how i wish i was the microphone stand so he could move around me like that 1.31 is orgasmic he could really get his hips moving ;) i would of loved to of had elvis for the night ;) rawr

haha elvis in the early days when the drugs worked like magic ,he used to wake up ,pop amphetmine ,dexedrine ,and put cotton swabs drenched in cocaine up his nose then every night pop like 20 downers then do it all again ,what a ledgend ,and amazing performer ,he should kept his sound like this tho.,
Lots of blacks love Elvis because he popularised black style of music. Lots of black celebs from those days loved Elvis. Also racism isn't the reason why Elvis became a big star and those black singer didn't. Elvis just a once in a lifetime talent. Not because he was white - but because he was a genius singer.
Wow this video is from 53 years ago... what an incredibly talented man. No one has charisma like that anymore; you don't hear girls screaming for lil wayne the way they did for elvis... no way in hell
@VideoNiNjaX123 maybe cuz lil wayne has no talent, haha, if you go to the real talent, you could hear girls screaming, but not like this, cuz "mainstream" used to mean "talented S.O.B." but now it only means talentless "S.O.B."
@VideoNiNjaX123 (not trolling) Even though Elvis (in my opinion) was a better performer than McCartney/Lennon/Harrison, the "girls screaming" factor at the Beatles concert was far crazier than Elvis' performances. In fact, one of the many reasons the Beatles stopped touring is because the shouts were so loud, they barely even heard themselves playing.
@forhotmail666 tv was new then and they had to be subdued and controlled at this time. remeber this was 1956. by the 60's things changed bigtime for tv performances. go to a real love concert from the 50's and the girls were a lot louder than they were for the beatles its why head to stop touring after 1957 police and national gaurds copuldnt control the crowds anymore .
People were simply ignorant ..... LIKELY AFRAID ..... when they were mean to Elvis Presley. He did not want to do "Hound Dog," FYI He was told to do it "for money." Did you notice how Elvis dressed, from teenager on? Suit and tie or slacks with sports jacket and nice shirt, attractive socks and shoes. RESPECTABLE, PROPER.
when he danced that way...in this video you can see, girls just got crazy. but he was just feeling the music. However, in that time it wasn't normal a singer dance like that on stage. I guess if I had lived that time I would have been as crazy as those girls ahah..he was an amazing performer

Absolutely ..... everybody at his church moved as did Elvis Presley ..... FELT the music. People ridiculed, and killed, Jesus Christ for being different. Fans took life of who they claimed to love because they demanded, expected, Elvis to perform continually. What he did do for them was by hand of God, inhumanly impossible. Elvis gave his life for THEM.
Nobody invented Elvis' style. Elvis did not steal anything. Anybody, whatever color, who says so is untruthful. Elvis Presley, from one or two years of age, was at Assembly Of God church.
