I don't recommend using two security suites on same PC.One of this product is enough to keep your computer clean and safe.If you are using two security suites maybe there is going to be an interfare between them and stop working properly.So my advice is (use one security suite).

You take NIS 2012 and install it over NIS 2011. Just a little rough at first, but it will take hold within about 30 mins! That is updates and installing over NIS 2011.

@mooselexus In my experience (just doing an upgrade from NIS 2011 to 2012 right now), it took probably less than a minute to install and upgrade and was active and working immediately upon reboot.

My choice would be Norton Internet Security 2012.It has low impact on system,high detection rate and for me it's much easier to work with it and configure it.Also it cleans your cookies when you make quick,custom or full scan.

But I must say that is MY OPINION.
