@deeratna Sister the Maulana has not bought any house. He has been renting since. He gave opinion of scholars from different schools on mortgage. He never said it is Halal !!!

@tanoli911 astagfurallah. How can you talk bad about this imam when he's much more knowledgeable than you? I live here in the west and everything he said is correct. One can live on rent, but do you know how expensive rent is? Are we supposed to buy everything on rent such as a car as well? What about those with large families? Renting a house is extremely expensive and people cannot afford to rent everything out. Allah knows best about this topic however it is our duty to try our best!!!! Salam

Buying a house is not a necessity u can live on rent. Have faith in Allah and dont indulge in mortgage. Molvi sahab should stick with urdu.
