I am a Canadian and we have a legislated bill C-68 for all firearms to be registered.I have a Possession and Acquisition license for both long guns and hand guns.All these programs will not hinder criminals at all,we can not bare arms for self protection here but lets face it,if it came down to my life or the criminals who want to kill me then I may need to protect myself with equal force afterwords I will be brought to trial,convicted and locked up,good by firearms.

The way I feel is this: If the government can have guns, then the citizens should too. If the citizens can not have guns, then the gov't shouldm't either. It should be 50/50. Gun for SANE citizens and gov't, or guns for no one. Personally, I do not want to own a gun because I don't want one in my house, but if someone who is sane, and has a clean record wants one, I guess they should be able to have one.
