Yeah, just save your movie as a QuickTime movie and go on Import -> movie in iMovie! :-)

Great! Hey Zach, I most of the time get jagged text in final cut after exporting. I assumed it is my export. I used Quick time movie. what is best output/codec for DVD?

@imusicman18 mpeg2 is usually best for dvd. . . you are usually always going to get lag when you do test in final cut pro instead of motion or livetype. If you use a square format you should be fine. If you are using 1440 X 1080 you will have to do some extra steps to get the dvd use the format right.

What is the best formats for final cut I tried to import a .avi file but it says unrendered why is it saying that and why does it lag when I try to play it I am so new to mac and final cut pro so this might take me a while I wish I could use sony vegas I think it would be funner if I could use it on my mac but it does not work.

well the best video format for FCP would be .MOV,

it would not require rendering initially but you would have to render it if and when you apply video effects on it.

I am watching tutorial video on this program so when I get my mac on sunday I know how to use it I wanted to know is this program kinda like sony vegas if so thats cool o does sony vegas only work on PC computers because I bought sony vegas 9, 5 months ago and can't render very well with my PC as it sucks and I have been looking into a mac and really can't wait to get one.
