  • WAHAHAHAHA my friend animated that tivo charcter! Its so cyute right?? takes alot to do that sorta thing XD Im in school for animation atm, and agh the time it takes. anyway! buy tivo!

  • BY THE IF LIKE YOU STATED THAT HOUSE IS MY DADDY'S THEN HE DOESN'T HAVE MO OR DOING SOMETHING UNINTELLIGENT. BELONING TO DERRICK ALEXANDER WILLIAMS

  • Gosh I miss my tivo. During a move from Chicago to another state there were commercials everywhere that Direct tv had tivo on their package so I stupidly gave mine away thinking it would be one less thing to pack & wouldn't be needing two. Did Direct tv offer Tivo in NV? Hell NO! Liars! Editing or deleting shows you no longer want to record on their 2nd hand garbage takes forever and is totally redundant! No instructions either! As soon as our economy recovers I am buying a lifetime of TIVO!

  • Tivo. your too expensive.

  • Yes... MyDeals247 is excellent

  • Tivo is the only way to go. We have 4 Tivo boxes in our house. Great for watching what you want, where you want. And beats the heck out of a comcast box you have to pay monthly for.

  • Been using Tivo for over a year and it's terrible. It's too slow with Netflix and Hulu (compared to Roku) and the UI is very clunky. Every screen has different resolutions - Tivo is a dying company - and it's obvious in their decaying level of innovation. So sad...

  • @jeffchambers1 Jeff- I have used TiVo for 10 years. I use HuluPlus and Netflix at home and I have no issues at all with speed. I doubt your issues have anything to do with TiVo. I have a 30mbps Cable Modem from Optimum (CableVision). If you are using a cable modem, sounds like your cable system is letting you down with bandwidth promises. I have never had a resolution or speed issue using my TiVi Premier XL over the Internet.

  • @jeffchambers1 : As Mark Twain said "Stories on my demise are greatly exaggerated." I have been laughing at those predicting the death of TiVo since 1997. TiVo is not going anywhere. They have the best DVR on the market and it has become the standard that others consistently fail to achieve for over 15 years. If you don't like it, there is plenty of inferior technology out there for troglodytes to enjoy. The rest of us will continue to use TiVo.

  • I LOVET IT WAY CHEPER THAN cable and all the others ge it is good

  • Why not invest in updating the UI to full HD instead of spending the money on a silly ad?

  • Is it just me or does anyone else have audio problems when watchig netfilx on tivo. (no audio at all) tivo technical support is useless. does anyone know how to fix this?

  • @DMADDMAN1 I have no issues at all.

  • why is he talking?

  • I love my Tivo HD, and I will never replace him if the new rates stay the same. $20/month? Are you kidding me?

  • Tivo is a guy? That sucks.

  • I've done the streaming netflix on TiVo and Google TV. TiVo choked. Often. I'm not paying another lifetime anything that only lasts a year or two.

  • I liked him a lot better when he didn't talk.

  • I have been a Series 1 Tivo owner since 2002. I highly recommend the series 1 system. The only problem is that I have lifetime service on my Tivo and the manufacturers will not let me transfer it to the new box. Therefore, I will keep my series one until it goes to Tivo heaven and then rent a DVR from the cable company. If I'm going to pay for service, I may as well have the cute young cable guys to service it. Time Warner hires some hott sexy guys you know!

  • @pamw585 that's sad to hear. We've been able to switch our lifetime service from series 1 to the next model then we got the HD model & now the premier & they were kind enough to do that for my mom & sister as well. Just don't do the ATT U-Verse. I switched for 3 days to them from our TiVo - customer service hell & what they don't tell you is you get just one dvr any other box you get is just a plain cable box with crappy picture. I have the time warner cable card in mine. they're a good company

  • @pamw585 : A TiVo user from the earliest days (1996-97) I have purchased all my subsequent TiVos after Series 1 from Weaknees.com. Their TiVo boxes are superior in every way to the "stock" models from TiVo, with upgraded memory and they have a special license from TiVo to offer discounted lifetime service, as well as transferring lifetime service from one box to a newer one for a small transfer fee. Weaknees is the only way to TiVo! By the way, I do not work for them - just a satisfied customer.

  • @snowdogjoe2 I often prefer recording in SD over HD. I would not want my Tivo to switch them. Many video sites blocked Google TV when they tried to allow users to watch video that way. Not sure how much value that would add.

  • If it is so smart why cant I browse the web? Why does it record an SD TV when there is an HD version of the same show playing. I could go on and on.. Not so smart, but still better than other DVRs for sure. (If you wanted an answer try - lazy programmers and cheep owners that wont let them work on code)

  • @snowdogjoe2 I'm not sure why you're having SD/HD recording problems. I have a Premiere and I *never* record anything but HD. (I rarely watch anything that isn't HD, ever.) But then, I set up what I want to record; I don't use Tivo suggestions at all.

  • @snowdogjoe2 The reason it records SD when their is HD is you have both the SD and the HD channel "checked" in your channel list. Uncheck ANY and ALL SD channels your cable company offers that are duplicated in HD on another channel number. If you do that, this will never happen to you again.

  • Can I get Hulu + on my TivoHD?

  • @phototristan

    yes

  • Comment removed

  • I love my Tivo. Still a lot to go on performance on menus and internet control but the video performance and recording is amazing and flawless

  • @MeatPunch I get sounds on TiVo Premier DVR using HD menu. I think the sounds are annoying!

  • @lrlariz

you can turn the sounds down or off, it users choice.

  • I luv Tivo....

  • I agree Jdq410, I've had a Tivo Premiere for over 1 year now and it's GREAT! I don't have the issues that MeatPunch has... I've even added a 2 TB of extra storage using the ESata port and a Western Digital drive and it's even GREATER! I have 3 Tivo's (including a Series 2) in my home and they work seamlessly. MeatPunch's experience isn't the same as mine. And by the way... I do have CableCards installed in 2 of my 3 units!

  • Haha he says "I can go on and on" but he listed everything already. Funny how the menu browsing on my TiVo Premier is slow as hell and this video makes it out to be like it is quick. Also the TiVo sounds when going thru the menu don't work on HD menus because the retarded engineers couldn't figure out how to make menu sounds when using the HD menu for some reason. Trust me if u are thinking of getting a TiVo just know it works pretty good feature wise but it is slow as shit!

  • Love my Tivos. I don't have HD, but I have the XL premier box as shown in this video. Not exaggerating when I say there is 1000+ shows on there right now.

  • Thomas the tank

  • Thm

  • I am not technical enough to know the answer... can I use a Tivo DVR with DirecTV and get rid of the DirecTV receivers and still get all of my channels through the HDTV?

  • @SoPleasurable No. This works on a cablecard system, and DirecTV has their own DVRs. But they're good DVRs. You'll like them.

  • i know know you

  • hi
