  • randy was weaker smaller SLOWER and gotout classed but im more interested in whos hes fighting next

  • @XetherealeyesonmeX

He's not fighting anybody. That was it, his last fight. He said that this would be his last fight months ago on some sports show.

  • Umm, i would just like to say that my before fight prediction was: Couture is like 40, hes on a losing streak, and Machida is 100% pissed off, Couture's gonna lose, no thinking inlvolved xDD

Oh and guess what, i was right.. lol

  • @MrArgsnart actually Couture was on a 3 win streak and Machida wasn't pissed, he almost cried at the fact he got to fight Couture. You sounds like someone who think's he knows what he's talking about when it comes to MMA. Douche. Also, he's 47.

  • @iCwalzy Lol Machida lost the title, obviously he was pissed, its a no brainer, also no need to to swear to fucking dick sucking little pedophile who likes it in the ass, and ok, hes older than i thought, even worse, lmfao. Oh and btw i never said i know everything about MMA, so how about you stop being a douche, douche.

  • your a dork and your green ass background gives me a head ache but ur cool anyways.

  • Rashad was so hesitant during their fight.. He played right into Machida's game. I give this to Randy, if he pushes the pace, and watches the counter, watch it hard, and get him on the cage or get him down. I give it to Randy, Idunno why, but I feel it.

  • WTM, I've been watching your reviews, previews, predictions and analysis for a long time now.

But, I do miss the "lets talk about this fight!"line. That used to be your trademark brother!

  • I think machida should win but 4 some reason I can't count Couture out I really can't tha man beat up Tim Sylvia, gonzaga in his 40's so I really can't guys I can't count tha natural out

  • randy stand up isnt that good. machida's way better

  • borring decision

  • I hope Randy wins but I think Machida is too fast. I think Machida wins by tko 2nd round. But in MMA who really knows..good luck Randy!

  • 6:58 hum*humm* hummm*

  • I can't really see machida losing this fight. The only problem with machida is that his style has been studied by everyone now and people now starting to get it down what he is going to do. Its just like shields vs kampmin, I do believe shields is the better fighter but when you know excatly what the other guy is going to do is huge advantge. I am seeing tko 3rd round or decision machida. Randy gonna try an close distance and machida just gonna land couple going to hurt him and back away.

  • I don't see Randy beating Machida, I'm sorry. I like both fighters but Machida is too elusive. Randy does not have the best speed. Randy would be lucky to lose by unanimous decision.

Machida is not Belfort. If this was Randy from ten years ago... maybe he could beat him. I see Machida sticking and moving.

  • I think machida by (T)KO in the 2nd round. Randy will attempt a takedown, machida will stuff, then knee him in the face, then lay on top of him and punch his face!

  • Randy getting his ass kicked...too old..and if machida loses he shud retire.

  • guys, lets talk about this earthquake. oops wrong video

  • Couture is going to get owned!!!!

  • I got machida if he knees randy in the gut once he will fall down which I see happening when randy tries to close the distance

  • What happen to your catch phrase?

  • I have no problem with randy kicking machida's ass and then retiring him. But i think machida will catch randy at some point and follow him to the ground and finish couture!

  • machida knocked out rashad evans COLD ...who did randy knockout ??? if hes so strong ...trust me hes gona get knocked out hes to old for this sport ..i respect him but i dont see this happening at all ...machida is young and got knock out power ..randy has no knockout power what so ever he actually cant hit for shit hes a terrible puncher he can bearly swing and if he connects the other person is still kicking his ass ..just go watch the coutor vs nogera fight and you will see its true

  • @6supermegatron Randy TKO'd Belfort (twice), Liddell, Rizzo, Gonzaga, and Kevin Randleman. Where the fuck have you been?? Machida has ZERO wrestling skills and Randy's looking to exploit that.

  • @MMAReignsSupreme You're a fucking retard if you think Machida has "ZERO" wrestling

  • @MMAReignsSupreme Machida has a sumo base as well as karate. He does very well on clinch and takedown defense. I wouldn't say he's got ZERO wrestling skills.

  • People said that Tito was a strong LHW yet look at how Machida man handled him.

  • Hard fight to call. My brain tells me Machida should win this; but I'll be pulling for Couture, of course.

  • How is this a prediction vid when you never even predicted a winner?

  • Machida should win but at randy's age i cant see him keeping up with Machida let alone catch him to do a takedown(curious to see Machida fight off his back against a great wrestler) and Machida is a lot faster plus has knock out power even though he doesn't look like it.

  • Im a fan of Couture, but Machida should definetly win this fight.

  • Go Randy, fuck "Elusive" Machida

  • I think Machida is much quicker and I don't think Randy can implement his wrestling game against Machida. Machida is going to shrug off Randy's clinches and find an opening in the first round and go for the TKO.

I think the card is fantastic and I cant wait for the main event as well

  • Why haven't you talked about UFC 128?

  • I have to disagree Machida being the fastest guy at LHW. I think Rashad Evans is the fastest lightheavyweight. He doesn't use his boxing that much anymore but if you look back I think it's obvious. The other thing is that Machidas base is actually pretty low. I mean, even though he is a striker , he keeps his back straight, he always has good balance and his legs are wide apart. This means, it's really hard to take him down. I'll go with machida's speed, TKO first or second round. Peace

  • Randy is too damn old...he's gonna get his ass beat..

  • Why dont you coment most recent fights? What about Bones Shogun? Any idea for how long is he goingo to reign in LH? Any one who can stop him?

  • I never thought about that...smart reason to move back when ur fighting, get ur opponent to walk forward so u know where his hips are...it'll help u time his punches and know when he's gonna throw what. Try throwin a right hook while ur moving ur right leg forward, most the power's gone cuz ur base is offset, so u know when they're steppin forward with their right u dont have to worry too much about their right hand and can expect a left if anything. Makes it easier to predict ur opponent.

  • I honestly don't see Randy winning this. He's much slower and Machida is a much better striker. Randy is a great fighter and ambassador for the sport but his last victory of note [IMO] was Gonzaga and that was four years ago. I think he lost the Vera fight, Coleman looked like he went in there for they paycheck, and James Toney...come on.

Randy asked for this fight and I think it was a bad Idea. I see Machida staying away from Randy and getting the TKO.

  • This is yet ANOTHER one of those UFC fights that serve ONLY to answer the question: Does EITHER guy have anything left?

    Good analysis nevertheless.

  • How many bongloads does WTM take before he does his videos?

  • What happen to "now Guys let's talk about this fight"

  • Hope randy beats him!!!

    CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!

  • It's actually Lyoto's style that always knocks Randy out.

  • Machida has never faced a wrestler like Randy, in all his other fights he was the more accoplished striker until Shogun. Randy is someone who finds the way to win and he will catch Machida and show Machida just a real wrestler fights like.

  • @CavemanJesus4Life Rashad was a great wrestler and he got tooled.

  • @realfreakaynaughtay But of Randy's calibur, Rashad isnt an olympic wrestler like Randy. Why does everyone think Rashads wrestling is the best? He couldnt even beat Tito Ortiz where Randy dominated him in the wrestling department.

Olympic wrestling trumps College wrestling by milestones. The world of grappling is by far superior to college wrestling where even Rashad wasnt really good at. He lost more than 45% of his matches only winning at the Junior College level.

  • @CavemanJesus4Life agree randy is better wrestler but rashad fought tito when he was just pure wrestler. Now he is alot more round mixing up strikes and wrestling similar to couture. I would give big edge if rashad fought couture.

  • @CavemanJesus4Life Lyoto kills wrestlers, and Randy isn't in this special category as far as wrestlers go anymore. Randy has beaten two bums in a row and should have lost to Vera since coming down to LHW.

If anything, Randy has never fought a fighter like Machida. Couture is going to get tooled.

  • @LumpyAdams thats what people have always said about Randy his whole entire Career , hes too old, hes over the hill, hes too small, hes this hes that, well he's has proven alot of people wrong, 2 titles in 2 diffrent weight classes dude, hes the original OCTOGON WARRIOR!!! RANDY COUTUREEEEEE (aka captain america, aka the scorpion king)

  • @LumpyAdams

Dude i agree with you alot of peple talking trash about him then he prove that they were wrong , OK am a big fan of Randy but he is a humen being and eveny one is getting old day by day he is 47-48 yrs old now , he can't compet forever , can u see how mashida is very fast ? i am fraid that he would knock Randy out maybe @ the seconde round.

  • @CavemanJesus4Life True but since when has Lyoto faced a Greco wrestler like Randy Couture who is an olympic calibur wrestler, and not like the typical wrestler Lyoto has faced.

Rashad is a good wrestler, but he isnt olympic calibur, neither is Tito Ortiz. Hell Couture was outwrestling Brock Lesnar for christ sake. There is no body with the background like in current MMA except Jake Shields but he's in another division.

  • @CavemanJesus4Life Randy definitely has fantastic MMA-applied wrestling, but it's still only just that. Hes been KO'd and tooled his entire career by sprawl-and-brawlers or just guys who can grapple-and-strike. Lyoto definitely has the tools to beat Randy. His sumo-base is fantastic and he rarely ever let's opponents get in close.

  • @realfreakaynaughtay Randy has only been KO'd by 1 guy like that sprawls and brawls, Chuck Liddell. Everyone of his loses has been by grapplers. Enson Inoue(armbar), Mikhail Illoukhine(guillontine), Valentijn Overeem(guillontine), Barnett(ref stoppage/tko), Ricco(ref stoppage/tko), Lesnar(ref stoppage/tko), and Nog(decision).

Vitor(cut/tko) was the only brawler he's fought and lost only to a cut minutes into the 1st round.

  • Randy is going to get put to sleep... So sad. Another beloved fighter for Lyoto to fight.

  • Hey guys, let's not say "let's talk about this fight".

  • Dude I love The Natural, But Machida, Shotokan Karate all the way!

  • what happened to guys lets talk about this fight

  • start saying "lets talk about this fight!" again..its not the same :(

  • @elliotb92 It's almost as legendary as Big John's "let's get it on!".

You gotta do it for your fans!

"Guys, let's talk about this fight"

  • @elliotb92 lmao

  • Mmm... sexy guy ;)

  • After Vera fight, when he couldn't take him down, I kind of lost confidence in Randy.

I really want him to win, but I believe Machida will be very hard to hold or take down and standing up... well, Randy's boned.

  • @Jaremus Vera's ground game was better than Randy's which is why he didn't go to the ground. Vera's striking was better too which is why Randy did the usual, used his Greco to stuff him into the cage and negate all of Vera's strengths.

  • @daridp I'm a huge Couture fan, but I don't believe what you're saying. Randy was never submitted (in the UFC). No reason to fear Vera's ground game. He couldn't take Vera down. I've seen this fight many times.

As for negating Vera's strengths, I believe Couture lost this fight. He almost collapsed after the liver kick.

Vera got robbed. I think you believe in what is a comforting version of this fight. 'He chose not to take him down'

  • @Jaremus Vera's striking is beautiful to watch don't get me wrong. I also have seen that fight 3+times(ripped digital version). Vera did get Randy in trouble a few times but always at the start of a round or after the ref broke them up. It was clear throughout the fight that when they weren't clinched Vera did control the center of the cage. However as soon as they clinched Randy dominated. Randy changed his style in the past few years, he isn't the slam king of early UFC/Pride days.

  • @daridp I'm a huge Couture fan myself. But I simply saw he couldn't take Vera down and even if, he wouldn't hold him down. I was shocked. As for clinch dominance. He managed to hold Vera against the fence. Not much damage done at all.

I strongly felt that Brandon Vera was robbed of victory in this fight. And as much as I wanted Randy to win, I felt the decision was unjust.

  • @Jaremus That is why Dana White always says "never let it go to the judges." It is a sport with clear rules to win. Couture as well as Machida both know that. Notice not many of Machida's fights are considered spectacular. Randy played the game and came out ahead of Vera. It went to the judges and they scored it in his favor. "Feeling" that he won doesn't mean that he did. It was a close fight and the fans are split about it that is understandable.

  • @daridp Machida' fights were won by Machida. No question about that (Except Shogun I, which was a joke).

I'm not talking about winning in not so spectacular way. I'm talking about Vera being robbed of victory. Couture when asked by Joe after the fight if he felt like he won, never answered that he felt like he did. Enough said.

  • @Jaremus Randy's lead grappling trainer, and head grappling coach at Extreme Couture in Las Vegas has already in an interview stated that when he met Randy(around the time of the Vera fight) he had a very solid but very basic ground game. Vera at the time was a Brown belt in BJJ and has placed or won several no-gi grappling competitions. Randy's strength is the clinch which he has demonstrated time and again. Randy played to his Olympic level strengths and stuffed all of Vera's advantages.

  • @daridp You don't need to review for me which belt Vera was and what Couture greco-roman strenghs are. Couture has a basic ground game? Randy never worried about anyone's BJJ. He himself got his black belt so long after that fight (James Toney fight).

If you really believe he CHOSE not to take Vera down I suggest watching the fight again. I got in on DVD and seen it plenty of times.

But feel free to believe whatever makes you feel good

  • @Jaremus Couture played to his strengths with such a dominant performance he got the decision. MMA is a sport and Randy won the game.

  • @daridp Well, so I guess everyone booing, Vera leaving the cage and sitting on stairs, Rogan who said Vera won, and me- we were all wrong. Fair enough.

You see this is what I don't understand in some poeple. I fucking love Couture. But Vera got robbed. There's a difference in being supportive and being blind. And winnning decision doesn't neccesarily mean you earned it as it was proven over and over. Randy got his ass kicked in this one.

  • Randy is going to have to get up close and personal with machida and push the fight! Question is can machida keep it on the feet by using his sumo wrestling. Easy to say randy will win by decision, but i think machida has something left up his sleeve and he will explode at some point and catch randy! Machida via TKO 3rd round!

  • I think Lyoto will be too fast and elusive for Randy and I think he'll just be too much for him. I can't see Couture really threatening him unless he gets ahold of him but I see Machida hitting him with some hard shots in the process of him trying

  • On paper i see Randy losing this fight 100%

But i hope for a surprise.

  • Randy is going to retire Machida

  • @Seiferjesus other way around

  • How come do didn't do a recap of UFC 128 dude? A bit disappointed.

  • guys, let's talk about the uniqueness of this fight

  • ur the best analyst!

  • Randy never had good boxing. Machida is going to karate chop his face, probably a trip slam or two and after that a few kicks and more chops will finish old man winter off. This is Randys retirement fight.

  • I want Randy to win but it aint gona happen..

  • Thanks, WTMan! Excellent preview and I very much look forward to this matchup, too. Lots at stake for both guys, and fascinating contrast of styles.

By the way, any thoughts on your new friend Einemo meeting Carwin?

  • if randy comes in 100% condition and focused, he might have a chance.

  • I really want Randy to win this fight...
