My tremendous thoughts are with Neda's family at the moment. God bless them (or whatever higher power they believe in). Hopefully it's something that makes them feel that someday they will see their daughter or sister again. That's what I don't understand , how so easily it seems people can kill each other. Doesn't anyone think about all the money, time and effort her family had to raise this girl. It's all gone, evaporated. It doesn't make sense that someone shot her.

Most of these people want peaceful protests, they don't want to kill. Also, what do you think the government would do if they saw that happening? Stick with riot police? Or send in the whole army and kill even more people, thereby destroying the whole movement. The history of the middle east is marked by disaster after disaster because of western meddling, even the current situation is our fault. If we don't learn from history, we'll repeat it.

As Christopher Hitchens has said, religion was our first attempt at explaining our existence. Not that it matters though, she was pretty much left without any chance whatsoever, a clean sniper shoot will kill you as long as it hits anywhere on a main artery due to the pressure. It is common in war, but this was not war, and the woman wasnt even an active protester, as far as I know.
