  • Leonardo da Vinci was a famous dolphin right?

  • Very good!!!!!!!

  • Leonardo Da vinci friend's Ezio Altair

  • If only he has the tools that we have today to create parts, what would he have came up with !!!

  • wow, this is Art

  • Excellent animation! Great work!

Thanks for sharing it with us!

  • Very nice play. Does anyone know wich orchestra, played it, so I can try to get the cd ??

  • @homerilias Sorry I cannot remember the name of the orchestra - I just know it was an edited version of Vivaldi" "Winter" that I used - glad you enjoyed it!

  • Great Work..

  • Leonardo da Vinci era pittore, architetto, ingegnere, disegnatore, musicista, scultore, anatomista, letterato, scenografo, progettista e inventore.

    Praticamente Arte a 360° Italiana-

    Grande, inimitabile Orgoglio per noi-

    Ciao a tutti.

Belzatan from Florence- Tuscany- Italy ;)

  • Takes my breathe away, 1111 miss u Q

  • Simply marvelous. Bravo.

  • 2) the best he could do faces ,the rest is all stolen from the muslims ,and the proves are he could not even advance more with those drawing he left it as he found it ,because he has no cloues what and how to complit the pieces, all the west is in dates to the muslims sciences in all fields , if it was not islam it will be no humanity today . so please stop thinking that this inposter is a revolution ,in reality he is a thief and so many like him ,the real copies are in secret rooms in vatican

  • @MrLakehal Judging by your diction, and inability to spell, English is either your second language or you are a fool. But, Judging by the claims you make of Leonardo's life and work you are for certain a fool. You clearly know nothing of this man's depth of work, or his many accomplishments. I suggest you take a look at his 13,000 pages of studies, and then make the claim that he is an imposer.

    Absolutely ridiculous.

  • @MrLakehal Prove it if you can. But I think you are brainwashed and are not understanding the man Leonardo DaVinci. So instead you call him a thief of ideas from your world. Show me examples of these similar inventions, ideas from your people. I want specific examples from real people. Your examples must in all cases be similar to the work creidited to Leonardo and not on some unrelated topic.

  • @PeterDad60 you can go ask your best historians and thinkers in your society about the islamic knowlodge in 1000 ad and befor that date, and after , go to you tube and watch some history documentaries about islamic history and knowloge and how the knowloge of 21 century has start , proved by europeans historians ,you see much more knowlodge well befor 9 and 10 centaury .......read and search don't take my word found out yourself ,history has been hijacked ,it does not start in war 1 or war 2 .

  • @MrLakehal I know something of history, not from books but from artwork. Governments may rewrite history in the history books but they can not get artists to repaint it. Art artifacts, architecture and engineering achievements are not easy to alter. I play the Oud and Rabab and I do like the Islamic peoples. But I do not see how Leonardo DaVinci stole knowledge from them. He conducted his own anaylis of the world around him and he came up with his own answers. Please supply proof of his theft.

  • 1) leonard is the bigest thief ever in history ,and inposter of all times , all muslims science drawing from the 10 to 12 century books ,inventions were stolen by the vatican ,hiden in italy, england, germany, france, and greece ,found a light to submerge again without the origanal names of thier makers and many scientist and artistes so called claimed those treasures as thier own inventions ,one of them is leonard devacci ,he claim he draw all those advance technologie that time, he does only faces

  • Nice video.

Could somebody possibly tell whom this 'Winter' was performed by? I think I've never heard exactly this version before.

  • This is a gorgeous showcase of Da Vinci's work! I can't wait to show it to my boys when we study him tomorrow!

  • @topherrl

Glad you like it and are going to use it for showing what an amazing (and modern thinking)person Leonardo was - that's what I made it for - THANKYOU..hope the lads enjoy

  • Actually, Da Vinci was a great illustrator and artist, but his "inventions" were actually copied from the Chinese. I recommend people read Gavin Menzie's best selling books. The first is "1421: The Year that the Chinese Discovered America" , the second is "1434: The Year a Magnificent Chinese Fleet Sailed to Italy and Ignited the Renaissance". Glen Beck points to these 2 books on his show. Search for: Glenn Beck Show (January 14, 2011): China's Rise, America's Fall?

  • thanks - just great to know SOMEONE was watching all those years ago - and STILL

IS!-Yes, Michelangelo and Face to Face are both up on my site too - your kind comments have made my day and also made my making those movies all worthwhile.

Your own experiments with special effects are really interesting - I hope you continue

  • I watched this short wow, probably over 20 years ago when our local PBS station aired them periodically to fill gaps between their programs.

After all this time, it still holds up!

Also recall you had a similar piece on Michelangelo with a Beethoven score, and another cradle-to-grave face animation. Those were the greatest!

  • Wow! Excellent flow of images with wonderful musical accompaniment. Fantastic effort here.

  • Leonardo Da Vinci was the greatest man ever.

  • 154 people will find something out and 5 people that they don't know how to make something like leonardo da vinci

  • that was just cool...

    grazie signiore! :D

  • plz tell me the video's song!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i have a question, how could he think of all these at that time?

he illustrated the future. By the way you're a really nice artist. i would like to see more of your videos

  • @aznboy3213 That's a good question.leonardo LOOKED at the world about him and drew it to try to work out how nature worked. He said" don't put your trust in books or in the ideas of others LOOK about for yourself". By doing this he worked out how birds fly - lead to his invention of parachute and airoplane He dissected dead bodies `and worked out how the heart pumps blood round the body well before anyone else figured it out! Who know what YOU will invent if you look around you!

  • this is s. h t . and i

    krysana

  • @krysant50 - WOW, thanks so much for sharing this with me, this video is amazing!

  • When men can do so much and many different things to make a contribution to this world that should be a lot of people just like him : Leonardo - he flourish and his inventions have made a difference to many.

  • Unbelieveable how can one human be so incredibly smart and wise, and another one can resemble ape with his intellect.

  • inside up and out

  • If I had to marry another man.... it would be Vinci.

  • Awesome video and music!

  • Awesome

  • mto bom!!

  • Last artwork is about the end of the world.

  • Magnifico, showing the briliance of maestro Leonardo in all it's glory to the tunes of Vivaldi's l'hiberno first movement :)

  • Vinci is a true genius. I am very fascinated by his works in many areas of arts, science, philosophy etc. He is a man like "All in One".

  • @9993328273 thats why he is one of the Uomo Universale!

  • I prefer this style of animation to the new ones. this is more artistic.

  • This is one of the most amazing videos about the most amazing thinker and artist of the Renaissance period.

    Thank you!

    Professor Fandel

  • Thank you - It seems that Leonardo's "Ghia" concepts are now being taken seriously as our planet slowly stops breathing. Nature is great- it seems people are the problem...I admire your tackling the "people problem". I stick with trees and mountains- they are easier to deal with!

  • people are the only part of the ecosystem that can "fix" the ecosystem, assuming its broken, though thats up to debate.

    and great video

  • cool

  • Bravo.

  • Nada no mundo

é mais belo que este momento

    - Viva o RENASCIMENTO!!!

  • muy bonito el video

  • Did he do it like flipbook style? Make a drawing after drawing and flip page to page to make it animate like that?

  • I copied stillsof a Leonardo's drawings then animated them myself on my light box - just like a flick -book as you said. I'm sure if Leonardo were alive today he would be an animator and would indeed draw his own flick book. Check out my website to download a free flick-book for yourself.

  • Ok cool thanks :)

  • thx for the music title

  • Leonardo da Vinci was dyslexic, and he often wrote backwards.

  • wht is the name of this music? i love it!

  • It is "Winter" by Vivaldi - from his "Four Seasons" ..and yes, I love the music too - in fact it was the MUSIC that inspired me to make the animation

  • i am very happy to see that in the world ther are mervellous people that make this kind of images for the other people! thank you, your work is great.

  • I love this video, it's well done.

  • Guau.I haven't words to describe...incredible.Really,really beautiful.

  • Thanks very much-but maybe not as beautiful as a Tyrasaurus Rex!!

  • I have to ask, how long would this have roughly taken (over a period of days) to create?

  • A year to research, about 2 months (off and on as I was making a series for TV at the time) to make. Some parts are drawn in pastel frame by frame under the camera - that's quick. Other parts are drawn on cel - that's slow!

You have a mechanica, searchin mind like Leonardo - it will be interesting to see where YOU go in future.
