@2easy4swt It's hard to explain, I think as long as you confey the emotion and entertain people, that should work. Forget the orthodox, music are made to entertain people anyway
I usually sustain the first notes following the 4/4 rhythm, but this isn't always the case. I like to try making every sound alive. If there are repeated melodies, I always try to make the second slightly different with the first one, to intrigue the audience. But that's my signature style, wat's yours? ;)
the reason why the title is "Fragmen" is because the word means "fragment" in English. Bahasa Indonesia for "fragment" is "fragmen" which shows how an English word could be adopted to the Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) pronounciation. In other words, "Fragmen" is an English loan word in the Bahasa Indonesia dictionary.
Tapi klo boleh kritik, ada bagian yang perintahnya ga di baca.. kyk dari intro yang temponya Andante Cantabile ke bagian kendang yang temponya Allegro, sebenernya ada tulisan rit. (ritardando) biar perpindahannya ga gt kasar..
kalo soal bagian akhir di kasi fermata, saya rasa ga masalah, soalnya toh kamu maeninnya tidak dengan pengulangan, jadi lagunya terlalu cepat selesai..
thx for posting this vid
*btw, JS titled "fragmen" without T bcoz it's indonesian
YEP YEP, I dunno why I do the transition without ritardando ... I know I suppose to do like extreme ritardando, and then when it goes to the kendang, it'll be like extremely loud and surprising....
nice playing and nice piece! i'm studying gamelan now! :D
