your good, ill give you that, he was a zebra. he was a mantis shrimp and thats all he did. we did find some fun with him when my girlfrient started throwing pebble in his burrow and watched him shoot them out at her. afew weeks after that he stopped eating and within afew days he dissapeared. im guessing he died and body rapidly broke apart. he was fun while i had him
congrats but yours isnt nearly as retarted as mine...he neither hunts for food nor eats what is placed infront of him. he just burrows in the sant and sits there with his eyes exposed
Sounds like a zebra mantis to me. (lysiosquillina maculata) If that's true, then his behavior is perfectly normal. Don't expect him to go anywhere or hunt; these mantis are good at spotting and slicing fish.
