@Rohan2300 I've just took a look at the original "Vault of the future" picture, the one with a vault cutaway, that one goes up towards living quarters and down towards machinery area. That would mean you can shove it into a not so tall hill
Vault 100 already exists. It is found in fallout 3's musime of technology.

it seems sorta odd that you enter the vault from the bottom...surely it makes sense to design it top-down...
