  • I love his unique playing - it's stunningly beautiful.

    Enough said.

  • i like this style, one of the best

  • eres genial. increíble interpretación ! you'r genial. incredible performing! keep going! five stars

  • i agree... not very beethoven- but great technique and dynamic

personally i think this piece would sound fanstastic playing in the romantic way- its such a beautiful melody

  • sli,

Oh, my gosh! Your playing is lovely! Thank you! Surprisingly, I like Richter's interpretation, then Kempff's, but yours has the most expressive dynamics of the three. Beethoven might have winced, but I smiled with joy! - Layperson

  • I enjoy your performance,anda your dinamic too ! ^^

  • interesting accentuation and dynamics! really enjoyed it but i still prefer kempff's more traditional rendition.

  • this is very nice performance but is isnot typical Bethoven sound i cant ear the passion and drama like in typical beethoven,

it is combination of motzart and chopin but i enjoy earing it

  • Glenn Gould /Kempff > all imo :)

  • I think you played in a mozart way, I prefer to play it in Beethoven, although this version has the best control of hands, I still think playing it with bigger contract and louder in "ff" or "fz"

Maybe I did not has so much talent in music which I can not understand the way you played...

  • I would even say, he plays in a Chopin's way with his rubatos... and I agree with you all the line on!

  • i heard like 10 another versions in youtube and i prefer this above the others, it has nice dynamics, tempo, and spirit n_n

  • if anyone says shit about this player ill slit thier throats and rape them i love piano so dont fuck whith that shit all you player hating cocksuckindg, cumm licking bastards from wikipedia/and the tempo is FUCKING fine!! good job ladie

  • ainte kai gamisou malaka oti goustarw tha lew gia aftin tin paparia..!

  • hahaha dude, youre fucking amazing.

  • you're really one of the best player of this sonata on youtube ,performances very close to wilhelm kempff's thats impressing

  • good, better than bad and fast performances that i have seen on Internet

  • NICE!!!! i love the piano im learning part of this and moonlight sonanta mo.2

  • Ahh c'est lui le Fameux Serg (Sliwaa) =D! Whoups Les cheveux qu'il se tape! En plus de ça il a bcp de mérite ^^ Greetin From Umei Serg !!

  • decent performance, nice expression, but the rhythm, and tempo was a bit of a problem. But hey...nobody's perfect right? :D

  • Ok, well first to say is that his techniqua IMO is very well, accept for the tempo, it's bad because it changes a lot! Next to that one has to know that this sonata is called the "Tempest-sonata", but I think that the tempest he's thinking of is a very tiny one, if you know what I mean. His interpertation should have been more dramatic I think and perhaps a little bit faster.

  • no no no, his tempo was good! it's written you have to change!!!!! plus, it made sense, not like most people play it, all forte!!!

    great job!!

  • Serg van Gennip will perform this piece on recitals in Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam NL on April 18, and De Doelen in Rotterdam NL on April 20.

  • magnifique :D !!!

He is a generation from rachmaninoff

  • Du wechselst das Tempo zwischendurch und soweit ich weiß ist das nicht der Sinn dieses Stückes..

    ansonsten sehr schön!

  • I thought I was the only who held him as a favorite pianist and would give the world to play like him, sound like, be soft like him, have elegant hands like him. And I would give anything to go to one of his concerts . . .

    maybe someday . . .

  • sometimes you lose the time.you need work this aspect

  • its just great!!!

  • i love it so much ! ._.

  • I am playing this as well...It is called "The Tempest"...

It is certainly one of Beethoven's masterpieces

Good performance, there is a lot of feeling inside. I think the changing of tempo is really disturbing....I would rather choose one tempo that I would maintain in the whole performance...

  • awesome, my piano teacher want to play this song , too with me... i like it ^^ keep on rockin'

  • hahaha holy smokes. thats sooo cool. id love to see him live. :]! ohh you lucky girl. he jsut had a helmond concert like...yesterday! haha i just looked at his schedule and yeah. hes amazing. and so are you :]]]!

  • so, youve gone to one of his concerts before?? wow, thats amazing. how was that? do you know him personally or soemthing?? :]

  • Harika, kusursuz..

  • A good point but the chopping and changing of tempo, even within phrases, is not good musicianship and left me feeling a little unsettled. The essential craft of playing Beethoven means a strong left hand and this is not evident in the playing where the right hand dominates. Players who lack this facility tend to make major and frequent tempo variations and that is what I'm hearing. However, I respect the fact that you really like this interpretation.

  • Yep, he's amazing, thank you for sharing :) Great inspiration! I hope one I'll play like him too... but I'll be old and gray by then ;)

  • Wow... who is he? :O
