People should be concerned about both what their government does and what it does not do. My point was that you pretend to be an authority, but then again all you watch is the Daily Show, which pushes a certain political agenda.

His problem was covering up the 3rd rate break-in mess that un-did one of the greatest presidents in our nations history. Current Presidents have done far, far worse, i.e. (Clinton lying to the Congress about Monica Lewinsky) than Nixon did. And I am old enough to remember him well. A truly great man. He and Kissinger were genius in foreign policy.

He resigned to avoid impeachment. In my opinion, the only reason the system worked this time (i.e., Nixon getting punished when other presidents didn't for their crimes) was because of the personal repugnance he felt towards being an impeached president. In a complicated way I respect that, and wonder if we'll see the likes again.
