I hate pop alot, but its better than metalcore because you dont see Katy Perry, Kesha, and Justin Bieber saying that theyre "reinventing the metal scene"
@HatebreederExodus I don't have anything against new thrash on principle alone, but this doesn't do anything for me. Musically, 80's thrash is far superior IMO. This sounds like some kind of fusion of thrash and modern metacoreish stuff.
Lazarus A.D. do just what bands these days should do, play riffs that aren't that hard, and don't try to fuck up shit by playing "to impressive" like alot of bands today do. They keep it simple and create these magic pieces that are easy to listen to and get stuck in your head forever! They guys RULE!
Thrash is my favourite genre and Lazarus are one of my favourite bands but Trivium re to there not emo's they are basically the thrashiet metalcore band ever

All they do is try to be what Metallica once was and fail at it. They were a failure of a metalcore band before they started jacking off to James Hetfield. Now, they try and hide the fact that Matt Heafy ever said they were metalcore and try to be "thrash". Trivium are trendwhores and they fail at music.

They heard Ascendancy "eh", Crusade "wtf?", and then Shogun they didn't even give a chance because of the previous two. But honestly, Shogun is one big fat epic bastard that has a unique sound that goes from pop all the way to Death Metal. People, please listen to the band at their best before you judge. Not to mention they took no steps back with Shattering. having said that, Lazarus slays. Love them.
