  • @privettricker thnx:)

  • Do you play gigs for hire, and is there a band you play with?

  • @geoford Not right now. Just strumming on the couch these days. Fewer hassles!

  • What's the frst chord?

  • @MrStrawberryBeatles The first chord is a B.

  • When he says tuned downed a little, he means down a 1/4. Like half-step tuning, but not so much. Kinda like Mother Nature's Son.

  • @jin256 its tuned down because the cd (or other source he's playing with) is probably recorded from a record (LP or something). they dont always play at the perfect speed so it may be a little higher or lower.

  • @daanvanderspek Not really. They slowed the tape down when they produced the album. They did it on purpose, it's not a product of a bad recording process. The Beatles manipulated tape speed all the time, e.g., Paul's vocal on She's Leaving Home is slowed way down, Paul's vocal on When I'm 64 is sped way up. They did the same with instrument tracks a lot.

  • @privettricker okay! i didn't know that! but I don't believe that after transferring the audio from a multiple-track-tape to a normal one, producing it onto a record, remastering etc the speed stayed exactly the same.

  • ahi la llevas

  • Great shot Priveman! thanx a lot

  • Thanks again for taking the time to make another post. Here it is an little after 5 in the morning and I'm sitting in front of the computer in my jammies, drinking a cup of coffee and slamming around on guitar. I wish this internet stuff was available 30 years ago. It makes you wonder wonder what the players will be like 30 years from now. Thanks again for taking the time.

  • @barryb83110...LOL'd reading your post. Glad to hear of another "old guy" keeping the faith. You are right, wish youtube had been around 30 years ago...I would be a much better guitar player now...but with such distraction probably would never have made it thru med.school. Hopefully awesome players like privettricker (and those that learn form him) will keep the classic rock alive for our kids! Cheers, keep on strumming.
