I would recommend having the rotors thrust down towards the table rather than lifting. (Air blowing towards the ceiling) Your rotor is in ground effect but the downwash is also impinging upon the scale giving you a false reading.

When I watched this (as you know) I laugh so hard I had tears.
The fact that you had to tape the scales down really cracked me up.

@zipadi yeah I shorted the power supply so many times because it was moving the scales and the wires were getting crossed... lol
