meteorites also fly "level". they often descend by a very small angle which can't be observed directly. a high angle would crash a meteorite at very high altitudes, a low angle permits atmospheric penetration. a too low angle will make meteorites rebounce into space. so there are also meteorites flying away from the earth (if they are not breaking apart). the description points clearly to a meteorite.

@AfroSamurai96 ...Hey...they are not all blurry. Most people dont walk around with cameras pointed at the sky...in fact most people do not even look up! So when something is captured it is all a bit frantic. I have seen UFO's twice in my life and both times I did not have a camera. I first time a friend was with me, he does not want know about it! (They were Pyrimid shaped) and the second time, I walked out my back door, happened to look up, then a massive glow then gone. It took 3 seconds.

@TOAFN Even if there are aliens visiting the Earth (something I am open to believe if evidence is provided) this recording can be of no use as evidence. It is a single vague anecdote which is of no statistical value. A person is prone to make mistakes. Pilots have been shown to be more susceptible to paradoleia and optical illusions than the average person. You do not need to invoke hallucinations even though that is an explanation, too.

This is a very cool video. But why does everyone assume meteors can't have a level flight? NASA scientists know if a meteor enters the atmosphere at a shallow enough angle it will skip off (similar to a stone skipping off water) and for a time the meteor's flight would appear to be level. So we can't be sure it was a meteor but it sounds 99% likely especially considering there were other meteor reports.

I'm open to the subject, I'm not saying anybody is crazy or overreacting or something like that. I'm a Psychology student, and a General Aviation pilot. As a psychology student, I know a bit about how the brain works. Your brain can be deceiving when processing input, for example when it comes to perceiving distance. In the air it's especially hard, because of no reference. I don't mean to give an explanation, but I want you to consider this too. People tend to overestimate their senses.

You are absolutely right. I consider it all. It's absolutely nescessary to keep all options open. But if multiple pilots from multiple airliners describe an object that precisely with such specific characteristics it's pretty convincing in my opinion.

I just don't believe the mass hallucination excuse anymore. If more than 1000 people describe a mile big craft hoovering without any sound over phoenix. Secret military plane or not. It's a very unlikely explanation.
