  • I see at least like 20 of these EVERYDAY.

  • Ummm, correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't it have a low CG, mainly because of the Boxer engine, giving it minimal roll and excellent controllability?

  • Nice car right up to the point the steering wheel shakes and they CANT FIX IT! Mine was bought back as a lemon. Adios!

  • Murano has more torque if im not wrong, but that Subaru is a winner for its price :)

  • subaru make really good off road car, but the look make me want to throw up

  • check????????????

  • Colorado sucks check

  • @bleachfirestorm Hmmm, I disagree. I'm probably a bit biased though.

  • Shame Subaru fucked the styling on this. The previous model was MUCH prettier.

  • @MikeyRB77 If they "fucked the styling", explain why they have had 11 months straight of record outback sales(each month more sales volume than the month prior). Also 9 months running for record legacy sales. Please explain if the styling is fucked, why so many people are continuing to buy?

  • @phorcajo Sales does not equal styling success. Lots of people buy Chrysler mini vans too - that does not make them pretty to look at. The Subaru is a good car - it is just not a stylish as the previous model.

  • @MikeyRB77 I beg to differ. We have NEVER sold as many Outbacks and Legacys until the current "Fucked the Styling" model was released. People are buying them up because now they look as good as they perform.

PS.... your analogy of a Minivan doesnt hold water. People buy minivans for the practical uses( cargo capacity, number of passengers, family vacations, etc) People buy Subies for the symetrical all-wheel drive, 5 * safety, performance, etc.

  • I have an 08 forester xt and I love it.. I call it my sugar bitch...

  • I like the new Foresters. I own one. The new Outback is not even close to as cool as my 2005. Plus, they got rid of the turbo. DOOM. Horrible decision. Oh, and the dumbshit reviewer thinks heated seats are a new thing. Do your research you idiot. My turbo OBXT could completely embarrass the 3.6r.

  • The new ones are HUGE. Almost too big! But hey I'm not complaining! :)

  • Low centre of gravity "NOT HIGH" as you said.

  • @ss19800 Good catch, I was about to comment when I saw urs... I think he was trying to say high clearance and low center of gravity. just a tongue slip I guess

  • Subaru has made their cars bigger and they look exactlly like every other manufacturer, The styling is so boring and cheap looking. I was thinking of a new Subie but i am gonna keep my Forester XT a little longer. Hopefully Subaru wakes up!

  • Well about the styling...its not a bad one...i personally like it.

You see those rugged phones in the market, they are not shiny, and made of rubber, well its a kind of phone that u dont feel the need to always take care of it! its well built and makes phone calls...thats all!!

I think the Outback is just like that....it doesnt need to much care and cand take u anywhere.

I can leave it in the a snow storm without feeling sorry for it(not that i would do that), but u get the idea.

  • About 2 seconds slower than a Toyota Camry. Rally Car? Really?

Furthermore, unless the turbo adds boost for elevation, the turbo car loses just as much power as the N/A car. If that turbo adds boost and goes out of it's efficiency range, it again loses power.

  • @JustForEmpire You're an idiot. Subaru weighs more and is AWD unlike front wheel drive crappy toyota, ofc the toyota will accelerate faster, but only on tarmac.

  • Are you getting any steering vibration at 60-70 mph? Some OB seem to get it , most don't...but seems Subaru doesn't know how to completely fix/prevent the issue even after 10 months of 2010 production

  • Hey Roman,

Would you be willing to do a review of a 2008/2009 Subaru Tribeca. You do great reviews and i wanted to see your take on this crossover suv. Thanks

  • he probably means high ground clearance, subies have a low center of gravity due to the placement of their boxer engine.

  • good car, ass ugly

  • The only thing I like better about the 2010 over my 2009 is the fact that they finally put a frame around the door windows.

Other than that, I really don;t like the looks of the 2010 and as for the 3.6 only costing $30K, BS!

My 09 2.5 was $31K, the 3.6 version was $39K plus it was a factory direct order as well.

Also, it's low center of gravity, and you most certainly can get the turbo version in a 2010 model.

Other than that, it was an OK review.

  • I'd really like a 3.6R Legacy Wagon, not the Outback version. Too bad Subaru doesn't offer them in the US. Nice little review.

  • Check

  • New Subaru is FUGLY. They had it perfect from 2000-2004.

  • @xxGodx

IMO, they had it perfect from 2005-2009 with the third generation Outback. The first generation Outback was also a nice looking car, but I didn't care for the second generation at all.

The current Outback (fourth generation) isn't a bad looking car IMO, but it's become too big and looks like every other modern vehicle today. It doesn't look like a wagon anymore, and that's what I hate most about it.

  • I think you mean the "low center of gravity"

  • @priya1985 lol high center of gravity these car reviewers always fuck up their facts

  • Australian subaru outback's looks better than the American's one

  • @Frankiesmarts how?

  • I can't wait to have mine. Will be getting it next friday.... I test drove both, the 2.5 and 3.6 and i wasn't impressed with the handling of the 2.5. I wouldnt consider getting it if the 3.6R was not available. I love the looks. So masculine looking and tough. I got the 3.6r Premium with Navigation.

  • its crazy popular in New England and most of the northeast as well

  • Take a look at this: (Blocks the view with stats) Thank you very much for that.

  • did his moustache get longer around 0:56 ??

  • at 3:17, he said "high center of gravity"......huh?! I thought the boxer engine is supposed to lower the center of gravity. He must have meant the high ground clearance.

  • you best CHECK yo self befo yo wreck yo self!

  • The dog looked embarrassed to be seen in the car.

  • @cbotten106 LOL.

  • What a putz! Subaru has a LOW center of gravity! Thats what makes them handle so great! High ground clearence is great too.

  • lol idk what he talking about i think it looks great but i do like the old outbacks or legacy wagons more tho

  • he wasn't kidding it really is the official car of Colorado

  • @roguetrip99 And New England.

  • @roguetrip99 and Connecticut!

  • @Vanrocco66

I have a WRX but I sure with I had an Outback for the winter connecticut had this past year.

  • only thing stopping Subaru from becoming a major player is the lack of a competent stylist.

  • @theslimeylimey thats what makes them stick out

  • @theslimeylimey Take a peek at the new impreza concept at subaru.com it's awesome

  • @theslimeylimey Every modern Subaru looks great, minus the Tribeca of course. The Impreza (non-WRX) is pretty uninspired but it could be worse.

  • great review, mate, appreciate it

  • good review mate

  • What A fantastic review! cuts thru all the 'bull' and states the facts we all wanna hear about! Thankyou ! and ..ou should workon "top Gear"! in uk! I will buy an outback bu in uk ... it has to be diesel!...we're taxed to death on fuel! cheers... a great review!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this a wagon or as high as the forrester ?

  • X Post...

    Good stuff. Thanks.

I'm shopping both the Volvo & 2010 Outback. Any chance of a XC70 T6 Vs. Limited 3.6R showdown?

  • Better than Motortrend lol

    Nice Review.
