@stopstarts2009 we used a couple of higher-end Trek bikes that cost abou $1,000 each. The route is easy to follow. Lhasa-> Scorpion Lake->Nargatse->Gyantse->Shiga­tse-.> Lhatse->Everest base camp->Dingri->Zhengmo->Kathman­du

i did that ride, llhasa to kathmandu and its not down hill all the way, and even when it was downhill sometimes the headwinds would blow you to a halt, still it was a glorious experience, and after a couple of weeks at altitude descending into nepal was sensory overload, you could smell the trees and the temperature rose by about ten degrees. at times i wish i had a free ride full susser but its not possible to smash 70 k's a day at over 15000 feet on a 37 pound beast a 24 pond hardtail is best.

I've done similar, but smaller scale, in Colombia from Nevado del Ruiz to Manizales (my hometown)....even thou it decreasses performance it was a shame the weed was found only at the end of the trip. Smooth!!!

I've been to the Everest's north base camp in Tibet. It was intense. This ride looks great! I'll have to add it to my list of life adventures.
