Can someone help me please, my iphone 3g had got wet off a water roller-coaster in my pocket. The sound went but no it is fine. However the only problem is my wifi has gone really weak after this incident and only works right next to the router otherwise no signal. Any ideas? other than opening it up.
My Ipod 4g has been damaged by water 95% sure BUT water sensor is still white, does this mean that I can get repairs for free from apple ( still under warrante btw ) reply please !
@flawedbeautyy he said that the ingeneers put some papers in the iphone to know if it's water damaged or not.
this papers turn red as soon as they get in contact with water.
so before you send your iphone to apple , beause they will refuse to fix your water damaged phone, you open it , and change the paper on the connector , to a new white one, and also the 2 on the back of the logic board can be fix with liquid corrector for paper.
and the one in the headphone is the most complicated
But this will not repair the iphone but only make less visible that it has been wet.
As far as I know, No electronical color detection is made by the Iphone itself, only after sales would use thes 3 pads to unvalid the warranty (you and I already unvalidated by opening the Iphone, and unscrewing the main board).
