  • The sound engineering is not good on this one, there should be more emphasis on the light sounds of the tabla, the drums drown any beat created by the tabla.

  • Featured this song on SOUNDSMAD com today! Check it out

  • this is like, a cosmic explosion.. a goddamn galaxy orgy creating the next big bang. Then the atoms in us all burn and just burst with all the condensing sadness and antipathy and indifference that binds us.. then BOOM, calmness, serenity.. then we're all born again. We start over. If the end of the world was a film, it'd go out like that, with this song and nothing else after it. like a successful rebirth. like this time, we're incapable of fucking up, because that's how glorious this song is.

  • @ihasfairydust A-fucking-men.

  • If my life was a rythm, THIS would be it... <3

  • s1ck shit.

  • I can't write for shit, but when I listen to this song when I do my essays for english class, I'm a modern day Shakespeare! Well I'm not allowed to make up words and plagiarize, but you get the point...

The point being that this song is BRAIN STEROIDS

  • is this about the serial killer?

  • One of my favorite GIAA songs. Simply awesome!

  • I just got back from their concert! They played all their best stuff and didn't disappoint. This was one of the most energetic songs of the night and it was so fulfilling to get to see them bestow this song upon our ears.

  • @Jaikodragon Indeed! I was there as well. Amazing show and this song certainly stood out. I'm still in awe.

  • 3:47 to the end is amazing

  • @Terminalsobe 0:00 to the end is the best part IMO

  • 6 ppl have never had a trip

  • @sessionroom I never had a trip, and I still enjoy it!

  • I have yet to dislike any giaa song ive heard

  • 6 haters gona be hate

  • It's not like they are just jamming out, there is a message and ...heart to this music. Most instrumental bands lack that. This band a rare find.

  • If you like God Is An Astronaut, Boards of Canada, Helios, Hammock, The Album Leaf, Goldmund, Eluvium, Rachel's, and similar artists, you might like my stuff. I'd love some support. :)

  • wow

  • How does this only get 94k views, yet that faggot ass justin bieber gets hundreds of thousands to millions? What the fuck..

  • @Agalloch100 because of idiots like you who care about him.

  • @pazanoia I don't give a damn about him, I just hate it that the masses love stupid music from an person who got incredibaly lucky and makes lots of money off shitty songs.

  • @Agalloch100 Wanna know why? It's cause he gives them what they want. Nothing more. Love songs, no further thought required. The lyrics are easily deciphered, the structure is simple and common, and the instrumentation isn't overly complex. The audience doesn't search for anything more, and the industry doesn't give it to them. What annoys me about him, though, is his attitude. He thinks he's so much better than everyone. So don't talk about him. (1/2)

  • @Agalloch100 I'll bet he sees all this, and thinks we're jealous. There's no reason to bring him up. He's a completely different style of music. This is post-rock, an offshoot of progressive rock, usually instrumental, that heavily experiments with the roles of the guitar, drums, etc. Justin Bieber is a form of American pop that focuses on simple lyrics, melodies, instrumentation, etc. He has nothing to do with this, and I see no reason to say anything about him but to stoke his ego. (2/2)

  • @thewriter1008 True...in time something else will replace him, i'm glad that bands such as these do not go mainstream and turn shitty, they are fine as underground bands but i will support them as much as i can.

  • @Agalloch100

Media is god, and god says that 'non' talent should rule, it's just another tool(music) in the further 'dumbing down' of our society, and 'modern' societies as a whole, for this there is no argument. Of course this is absurd, but that's how it is.

we are of the few who can see through the shit screen big brother has placed in front of us

  • Listening to this can make you feel as though you could take off into space.

  • Great song , great artists , just simply great !

  • love

  • coooooooooooooooooooooool!!!!

  • wrong album cover!

  • Is it me or is the house moving? like warping almost.....

  • @SOADVSSOAD Haha, you're right. Optical illusion probably. Trippy.

  • This is so good.. Could anyone recommend to me more music like this?

  • @QuotidianHegemony Dude, I'm glad U clicked Favorite on this!! Or I wouldn't have found out about this group! :)

  • @QuotidianHegemony Yes. Here's some songs you ought to listen to:

    - Maserati - Monoliths; Saxon Shore - Thanks For Being Away; The Mercury Program - A Delicate Answer; Helios - A Mountain of Ice; Actarus - Milkfloat

I have most of those if not all of them favorited just in case you cannot find them. I have them on a playlist too so I can just chillax. :) Enjoy!

  • @QuotidianHegemony 'Radio Protector' by 65 days of static. Its a tune!

  • Right now, this is my favorite post-rock song. Probably my favorite song at the moment too. :D This eases me to no end. Relaxed to the max. :)

  • This ever gives me forces when i have an exam

  • springheeledjack this not melancholic music ur mistaken. its post-rock only. =]

  • awesome !

  • This band is now one of my favorites for the sole reason of lyricless songs. I always liked those a lot. Just the sound is cool.

Of course lyrics are good to have, but sometimes...I just need to go out into the universe.

  • 5 people are so, so wrong....

  • This takes away the heartaches. Seriously.

  • Words can't describe this.

  • Thanks for uploading,amazing song!!!!

  • Nice work !!!! Castle Party 2010 welcome to Bolków (Bolkenhein) PL POLAND!

  • @ihaveaverybadcold

I and my band once considered making a version of this song with lyrics, nothing serious just to play to some friends, but this is such a great song that trying to adapt it could ruin it if you know what I mean.

  • @HAQiTEK yup

  • @HAQiTEK For what it's worth, you have my blessing... just do the song justice, even if you're only playing it with/for friends.

  • Saw them at oxegen for the first time, bloody amazing.

  • @HITMANant yeah u agree with you dude, songs like this just makes me feel alive

  • awsome track to work out to :P

  • ZUN [Japan] - amazing, uplifting, passionate, melancholicmusical creator of the highest degree. I hope he'll get the credit and acknowlegement he deserves.

  • this tune brings me back to life. i just want to transform :)

  • This song makes me want to run outside and mercilessly conquer the world...Fucking epic.

  • post-rock is epic!

  • Ok Weirdsville and tooldruid I will give you both a lift to the gig in my Long distance dream machine. Hey but joking aside Jakob are playing the transmission room in Auckland nz on Feb 16th and I will be there.

  • My dream gig God is an astronaut and Jakob at Aucklands transmission room in New Zealand.

  • Dude! I want to go to that concert...when I live in New Zealand, that is...

  • @Joseph82177

what a shit comment. this band have such different elements to mogwai in their music. the whole atmosphere is different and the songs are generally far more instrumental. i have not heard a band do what god is an astronaut are doing any better.

  • to each their own...

  • @Shamanmagic95

very true. i was just giving reasons for why i thought joseph82177's comment was unfounded and unfair. i didn't say they were any better than mogwai, i love both bands.

  • @Joseph82177 I love Mogwai too. but please...please don't compare bands. It's really childish and subjective. GIAA sounds nothing like Mogwai and I'm glad it's that way.

  • Hahah loser cant you see what the fuck did you post mogwau has nothing on GOD and fuck you this band is amazing in every way,IF you cant see the beauty then your just a ignorant prick!!!!!!!

  • MAGNIFIQUE !

  • Personally... I cannot favourite this band, just this song. It has attitude, the rest have none.

just an opinion. Still I wonder about those who think this kind of music, ambient rock, is something special. The only difference between this and the common modern rock is that there are no vocals on most of the songs in this.

Cheers from me though, awesome song. ;)

  • from someone who listens to instrumental rock a lot, having no vocals can allow the song to mean a lot of different things, like with lyrics it kind of focuses on a single meaning whereas instrumental allows your mind to explore.

but to each their own, music is very subjective and

  • Have you tried Shores of Orion? That one has a bit of an attitude too, I think. They're both probably my favourites by GIAA, anyways.

This particular song really is just an instrumental rock song, but post-rock doesn't usually stop there. Some post-rock is really a lot closer to ambient music than it is to rock.

  • ye, it's quite neat also, but the attitude is quite different in comparison to this.

  • Que buena banda! : )

  • i used to like EITS before listening to GIAA...after i listened to GIAA for the first time, i just fell in love

they are fucking brilliant...both great bands tho

  • I like this. I still think explosions is better. Any suggestions on what song I should try out?

  • Suicide by star

  • Thanks! I love how well it builds up to the ending.

  • Suicide by Star is my standing favorite as of now.

  • wow. im speechless.

  • This song is such a damn energyrush, it's almost unbelievable. It is a TRUE masterpiece. Fantastic.

  • God is an astronaut [Ireland] and Jakob [New Zealand] amazing, uplifting, passionate, melancholicmusical creators of the highest degree. I hope they both get the credit and acknowlegement they deserve.

  • both fantastic bands - i prefer GIAA though

  • @Springheeledjack1 That's the most intelligent comment I've ever heard on YouTube...

  • @Springheeledjack1

they got a new album, Age of the Fifth Sun

  • i love how they added the sitar and tablas, they make this song sound a bit exotic

  • And some guy in india is sitting there going, I love how they added the guitar and drums. Makes the song sound a bit exotic.

  • lol so true. You really know your stuff I hope then. It's so amazing how different the Western culture is from theirs. We count by tapping with our feet. They count by using hand signals. Great comment my friend.

  • la raja esta cancion wn!! lo mejor

  • too el rato ctm!

  • everyone who rates this band needs to go to their local record store and order some God is an astronaut. i have already led by example here in New Zealand.

  • or just order it online, like everyone else does :/ record stores make a profit ya know.

  • fastest giaa song ever.

  • I hear you loud and clear Prophet. God is an astronaut, blow my mind, overload my senses, make me cry, make me scream, make me laugh and make me dream all at the same time.

  • God is an astronaut are very very special.

By clinging to what once was we cannot recognise Gods presence within a new reality.

  • listening to God is an astronaut makes you realise just how special music can be and what a total load of c--p the controlled music media outlets feed the masses. Peoples musical tastes need re-programmed. God is an astronaut represent what music should be really. about.

  • yeah what he said :)

  • Come on people lets help give this band the success they deserve. Spread the silent words of God is an astronaut.

  • no,i want them all to myself.
