  • that little 292 was BAD ASS

  • that little Yamaha 292 is fuckin awesome. What was that sled at 2:03? That thing sounds like an animal!!!!

  • @82agwayldt11 looks like a thunder jet

  • The 292 Yamie is so sweet. I've tried to find a video of a John Deere 295 S dragging but have had no luck. Is there none out there? I used to laugh my head off at all the guys wanting it torn down because it whooped all comers.

  • The Yamaha 292 is a 1975 GPX chassis with a 1973 SR 292 motor. The bumper is a a SRX bumper. A 292 makes around 60 h.p. mod. The best Yamaha engine builder is getting 70h.p. out of them today. Sleds with motor is about 250lbs. Thanks and hope you enjoyed our sled!

  • This is a 1973 SR 292 factory race sled sold to selected drivers. Engine: SR292CCs, 50 hp stock, w/mods:75+hp. Factory expansion chamber, 52mm Keihin butterfly carb. Sled weight is approx. 325lbs. The SR denotes Snow Racing. This sled would kick ass on most 340 mod twin race sleds of the day.

  • deadenear, Right on about the chassis..as for ssr engines in SnoJets, the ONLY SSR Yamaha made was for the 1978 SSR 440 SnoPro. SR engines were free air and came in at 292,340,440, & 643cc. The engines built to the nuts is correct. However there is always room for improvement on factory castings. such as hooking the rear trnsfr ports, blueprinting the degree of port opening, squish angle etc. It is the knowledge of the builder to make improvements w/o destroying the motor with a porting tool

  • I must be a magician then! After building a 75 T Jet 440 FA that made 102hp @ 10,200rpm. A 25% hp gain CAN and WAS done. The sled was very competitive in Mod Stock III & IV. A little advice...be mindful of what you think you know and how you dispense your "knowledge"! There are old racers out here that "have been there. proved that". So I will just sit by and let you dominate this video post. C YA!

  • @deadenear Buddy, Shut the fuck up, I AND OTHERS have made 6.5hp Generator motors Push 37hp, We Must Be GODS THEN right? look t v8s, a350 has what, lets just sy 300hp stock, throw sum heas, deck the block, increse velocity, compression etc and your at a good 590hp, turbo it and reduce compreession and your at an easy 700hp, WITHOUT detonation.

  • Hi

Does anyone now what type that Yamaha 292 is? It could be a GP292f 1974, the first year with a slide boggie but the hood and chassie look´s more like a GPX or a STX chassi beacuse the angle of the skid plate. Or is it mixed together? Do they use alcohol/methanol fuel? Please help me out...

Answer to fwsctrack: I have seen price´s from 2500 to 6500 USD depending on the conditions...in Sweden....
