Really good to hear it again - thank you for posting it. I loved Russell and Ron and their quirky music and once in '72 or '73 met them in Waitrose, Beckenham ! They were nice guys and I got their autograph! A bit of useless info for you! Trying to find an album version of Girl from Germany but only found a live one. Still v good. Across from the ad agency where I worked we would see Angie pushing baby Zowie Bowie past Beckenham green with her yellow hair. Happy days :o)
This is one of the most brilliant, radiant, energetic and refreshing songs ever. 1974 was a good year for true pop music. I wonder why there hasn't been any environmental defense group up till now that has employed this song in their campaign.
Awesome song. I am shaking all over, still after 35 years. Thanks for some pics in this video taht I have not seen earlier. In Helsinki ( June 2008 ) this song was performed in a very different way. Not to mention that I did not like it. Long Live Sparks.

Superb, years ahead of its time. I still think this is their best single by far. Short and oh so sweet.
