should be - battery is NiMH for truck and EZ start should be too but even if not the kit is supposed to charge all batts with the truck.

unfortunately what sucks is that traxxis is doing is saying that it is "under 400" and will be selling it for 399 thats hardly under 400 :( also they arent listening to there audiance. we want kits or we want a bind and drive. why do we need to have a new radio with every new car that comes out. I mean I really like all the gear that comes with the traxx cars but why do I need a cheap tx radio when i have a nice dx3s? comon traxx im a racer and listen to us also. you did it with the revo

Bind 'n drive sounds great. -But that's a flawed idéa, as they then would have to decide which system they'd install it with...

For instance, they'd have to choose from either Spectrum's DSM or Futaba's FASST (as I see those as the most widespread ones).

Either of those would result in a higher price, as their entire packaging routine would have to be revised.

-But a bind 'n drive with FASST would be awesome indeed. That way I wouldn't need to buy yet another reciever for my 4PK ^^

right. but i think they should take a clue from losi or many of the airplane mfr. and make it bind and drive so that it cuts down on the cost and makes it so i dont have to drive with a pos radio. and not to be mean but the majority of 2.4 systems out there are spektrum. and even then everyone has been begging traxxas to come out with a kit or maybe even a kit with electronics sans reciever. also i dont understand why there is an included battery? comon traxx keep the price down?

i must agree with you on some things. i agree that the price should be like 350 or sumthin like that, but im a fan of RTRs personally. and there isn't a way to bind your dx3s t othe reciver? its a 2.4gig system also. and i love how traxxas has all waterproof stuff also. The other companys have to step up to that and make that a change in thier vehicles.

yea ive been thinking about that. im willing to bet that the 2.4 system that traxxas uses is similar to the spektrum system and might even bind to my spektrum radio. and I do really love how traxx has started putting the receivers in a protective and waterproof case. esc's are tough and they can take a beating but the receiver can get damaged and mangled up. and its not a bad idea to keep dust and grit out of the pin area. but any more most esc's are waterproof or water resistant.
